The movie graphics on IMAX 3D isn't what I excepted it to be. Not alot of in your face moments, the previews had more of that experience then the movie did. How ever the story line was good, but a little to slow for me. And what was up with it being a Tim Burton movie, every single one of his Disney movies have singing in them. Johnny Depp looked like Elijah Wood. Would have been cooler if he would have done it like the other movies he had done, with the still-moving movies.

I've been waiting for this movie to come out since they announced who were going to be the characters.I saw the IMAX 3D Alice in Wonderland which left me wondering where was the wonderfulness (visual effects) of it.It was opaque and the 3D was very poor.Barely there.Performances,some were great,good or just ok.The screenplay was ok,not great.You can skip the price of the 3D experience and just see it in 2D. Who knows it might even look better!

I knew that this movie would not completely follow the classic version before I went to see it, but think that at the end of the day, it would have been a far better movie if it did. I truly enjoyed the action, costumes, and the interpretation of the characters. I think the plot was a little too dark and there were moments when it was a little slow. Would have enjoyed a remake of the classic story alot more I think.

Overall I would say the movie was exactly what I had expected. I appreciated that it was not a remake of the original Alice in Wonderland but, instead, a sequel. I really thought the movie worked and was cast very well. I was also very happy that Disney kept some of their influence out of the film and allowed the caterpillar to smoke his hookah, etc. As always the IMAX 3D is a phenomenal format for movies. Like Avatar, this movie really brought you in with the beautiful visuals and awesome sound. They took a few liberties with the 3D format wich seemed to work and add excitement to the senses.

Loved it!! I am a huge Johnny Depp fan and was not disappointed in this movie at all even though it had been panned by someone who had seen it before me and told me not to waste my time. I thought visually it was great and it was totally edgie, WHICH WAS THE INTENTION>>>>HELLO!!! Alice in Wonderland was never a cutesy story to begin with...lol! It was just made that way over the years so little ones wouldn't be scared! And as far as the plot, it was definitely different taking it into the future, so I object that it wasn't fresh!! I had very low expectations as I made my way to the imax through torrential rain this morning. After all, the reviews have not been great. However, how bad can a Tim Burton movie with Johnny Depp be?
Not bad at al, in fact, AMAZING!!!! I totally lost myself in Tim Burtons magical vision of Wonderland. The story was believable in a fairytale sense. Alice reenters Wonderland as a young adult. Alice, played by Australian actress Mia Wasikowska, was utterly charming and brought Alice to life as a teenager. Johnny Depp played the Mad Hatter to perfection. I loved Helena Bonham Carter, her “Off with his head!” was hysterical. A wonderful cast supported by a wonderful backdrop. The visuals were breathtaking – watching it in 3D, a treat.

I expected a very good movie but it exceeded my expectations. My wife, son *(11 years old), and his friend (also 11) all loved it. Great effects, cool visuals, fun dialogue. Johnny Depp is his usual bizarre self -- which is meant as a great compliment. One tip -- 3D is critical. But IMAX is not. It only added a little to the experience.

I was never a HUGE fan of Alice in Wonderland, but watching this movie at IMAX reallly made it come to life and a real pleasure to watch. After seeing Avatar at the IMAX I was VERY skeptical about seeing another movie in 3D but thankfully I did! The 3-D Imax experience was amazing and I hope to see a lot more movies there. The movie itself was okay but I felt it could have been much better. I usually love Anne Hathaway but did not like her portrayal of the White Queen at all. Helene Bonham Carter was fantastic as the Red Queen. Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter was fairly entertaining but lacked heart. The character of Alice was costumed and portrayed as much younger than a 20-year old which hurt the film.

My first IMAX. I am sixty and went with my daughter in law. I don't think I blinked once, it was mesmerizing. The costumes were out of this world. Depp was lovable as usual. The queen of hearts, perfect. I would see it again.

I might have been able to overlook the lack of a coherent story line, if the effects were dazzling. Unfortunately, all they did was give me a headache. The '3D' graphics just looked fuzzy or blurry if more than one thing was moving at the same time. If either the graphics or the story line were amazing, I would have really liked this movie, but both just left me annoyed. The Red Queen (who I've always pictured as terrifying) was just annoying. The White Queen acted like a complete twit and made me want to smack her and say "PUT YOUR HANDS DOWN, YOU LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT". The Hatter acted like a cross between Jack Sparrow and Willy Wonka, nothing new there... really nothing new or even interesting anywhere. Wait till it’s on DVD, but rent it.

This movie is okay at best... making it on par with the book. The book is quite boring if you've ever actually read it, and this film borders on boring. After seeing Avatar on Imax 3d and the Alice trailer before it, I thought I MUST see Alice in Imax. It is not worth the extra cost here. Alice was not filmed in 3d, but was converted using computers later. The 3d effect is barely noticeable at times, making the extra cost of Imax NOT WORTH IT. In fact, what little 3d there was made it actually more distracting, I actually would have prefered to see it in 2d.

We went to see this movie and I really enjoyed the wonderful effects. The 3D was awesome and the Imax was so worth the money. The cast was great but Depp made the movie. Time Berton did a great job making it all come to life. The story of the movie was different, with a much older Alice. If you haven't see this movie go see it.
