This movie was a beautiful adventure that only Tim Burton could deliver. The effects were rich, the storyline engaging, and the characters were interesting. Johnny Depp gave a mysterious air to the Mad Hatter that fit the mood of the movie so well. I would definitely not just recommend this to friends, I would take them so I could enjoy it again!

This movie was a great opportunity for a really dynamite script and visuals. Although IMAX 3D is a great medium, this movie wastes a wonderful technology. There are fun moments, but for the most part you have actors playing to blank screens, filled with computer generated animations, and a completely meandering story line. The trailer is probably as good as the movie. With so many great scripts out there, this is simply a waste of everyones time. Probably fine for those whose perceptions have been enhanced, and either dont care or are unable to follow any sort of a logical story....!!

This film is amazing in 3-D Imax. However, I recommend it for the dark, quirky twist it gives to Alice's story. Johnny Depp is his usual fabulous self. This version of "Alice" certainly is not for everyone, particularly children under 10. Not because of the violence, but because the film is for indivduals who can actually think for themselves and understand the underlying psychological and sociological issues.

Wow! This movie was visually incredible, the story was interesting and the characters were amazing. Helena Bonham Carter stole the show as the Red Queen! My entire family enjoyed it. IMAX 3-D is definitely a plus for this movie. We felt as if we were right there in Wonderland. You won't be disappointed if you love Tim Burton movies, as I believe this is his next best since Nightmare...way to go, Disney, for taking a chance on something a little different.

I was pleasantly surprised the storyline was clear in the movie. A lot of times the story gets hidden by all the special effects and I felt Alice in Wonderland had a good balance of both. I loved the character of Alice, she was forward thinking and knew what she wanted out of life...no corsets and marriage for her!! Johnny Depp was amazing as always and the colors were also amazing. I definitely enjoyed everything this movie had to offer.

It's pretty obvious the studio "suits" forced Tim Burton to deviate from Lewis Carroll's original works and transform Alice into a superhero. So if you are a lover of the literary original, you are going to need some willing suspension of dismay. If you can get past that, however, you are going to enjoy a visual feast, with all of the old characters brilliantly portrayed, and the ultimate payoff is the portrayal of the Red Queen by Burton's wife, Helene Bonham Carter, who was BORN to play this role, and destined to be directed by Mr. Burton in the part.

This movie was awesome for the party I went with that consisted of 2 teenagers, 3 adults (ages 30,35,63). I cannot say enough about the 3D and IMAX affects that will keep me coming back for more.

In this movie Johnny Depp plays a crazy, mad hater. He is very happy when he finds Alice Kingsley, and unusual 19- year old girl (Mia Wasikowska) . He has been waiting for her for 9 years now. While Alice think she is just living her dream another time, she is actually getting ready to face the greatest fear of her life... The Jabawalky! She finely finds out that all of the dreams she's been having are really memories. Now she needs to stop the Red Witch (Helena Bonham) and help save Wonderland!

I thought the movie itself was good. Some of the 3D effects didn’t work as well as I had hoped. Some scenes were very blurry. In addition – I always thought that IMAX movies were the huge screens, a lot bigger than the average movie theater screen, so I was upset and surprised that the screen was just average size. Johnny Depp's character was fantastic.

The film, acting and effects did not disappoint. However, the Sunset Theater in South Miami's customer service did. A theater usher had some 3D glasses in hand when he took my ticket at the entrance. Instead of giving them to me as requested, he told me there would be someone outside the screen to give me them. Surely, after walking all the way over there was no one there and I had to walk all the way back to the entrance to get them. My glasses were badly scratched and I really could not be sure they were sanitized before being given to me. Also, the bathrooms were extremely dirty and there were no paper towels available. Pretty sub-par experience for $30 ... I quickly remembered why I stay away from theaters.

The effect were less than thrilling. Depp is a drag king, he is OTT, and not in a good way. Good job by Anne Hathaway. In my humble opinion....this movie sucked!
