Great story line about her return but the backstory was thin as was the character developement. Seemed to jump from place/time a lot which made it a little hard to follow initially. Special effects were great as was the message of be true to yourself and don't be afraid to push boundaries. Also geat message to young girls that they don't have to settle for traditional roles. Depp continues to reinvent himself as one of the greatest actors of his generation. Highly recommend to all.

Alice and Wonderland was quite stupendous!!!!! The graphics and detail were awesome in 3D!!! I was a little hesitant b/c of the cost (16$) and i prob wouldnt pay that much again for 3D IMAX, just watch reg 3D instead. I loved the storyline with her returning to Wonderland and really discovering who she is, as a woman. The cheshire cat was my fave <3333 :D

The 3d effects were great the plot felt thin and rushed. Nothing in the film felt like it had time to develope.
The acting was decent except for Hathaway. She came across as out of place and annoying. I didnt get her forced wavy arm movements???? If you've seen the movie you'll get what I'm talking about.
The film gets kudo's for the 3D WoW factor but ............
The pace and lack of carachter developement really detract from the structure and flow of the film.
On a one to ten scale I would give this film a Seven and most of that is weighted on the effects.

IMAX 3-D was totally worth it and I recommend people watch it that way if possible. The scenes had a lot of details and the story line was great. I do recommend you read or watch the original Alice in Wonderland since this movie takes place after.

I loved the Cheshire cat! However, there were a lot of parallax problems in true IMAX. Every whip-pan or fast motion in mid to far planes blurred. Told my date to squint whenever it got blurry to readjust her focus. That took us out of the picture a lot. some cool 3D scenes were not enough to make up for a pretty ho hum, so what story! If you're 12 anything is interesting but to me it looked like Burton's story was ripped apart by a ravenous pack of confused Disney execs or perhaps he just phoned this one in and cashed the check. I wouldn't blame him after working for the Mouse. At least Depp got to act “Mad as a Hatter!” Either way I laughed, I cried, I kissed 16 bucks goodbye. Wait till you get a 3D TV and 3D Blu-Ray for this one. :P

I really enjoyed Tim Burtons vision of Alice in Wonderland. I really enjoyed the english atmosphere and really think Burton brought it to life. The character of Alice was amazing. The scenery alone was worth the price of admission. Johnny Depp was great and I think I would have enjoyed the movie even if it hadn't been in 3D. Would definitely see it again.

This was a fabulous movie. The actor/actresses all played their roles well and the special effects made it that much better. I would recommend everyone see it at least once...maybe more :-)

I like Tim Burton movies and this one is no exception. I found the acting was great, the story a classic, and the movie overall a good rendition of the story.
What I had trouble w/ if anything was the 3D. The glasses dim the movie (like wearing sun glasses in some sense) and you have to have your head positioned just so in order to haev the right 3D effect. This technology needs more work.

Loved the story, visuals, overall creativity. IMAX was awesome. Sound levels were excruciating in places, dialogue muddy in others, frustrating mix overall. My ears were ringing for hours afterwards and I frankly think its unsafe for kids to be exposed to that kind of sound. Even if they like it! Other than this issue "Alice" will be on my top-10-of-all-time. I look forward to seeing it again on DVD, at home, where I can control the sound myself.
