The first Boondocks had feeling, and passion behind the writing and story. This story made no sense. The story bounced from setting to setting with no real rhyme or reason.
For some reason, with the inclusion of "the mexican", they turned Boondocks Saints II into a buddy cop movie complete with their own comic side kick, in a silly way, not a serious way.
They didn't develop the community love for the two main characters, this was just a sequel with action trying to be something that it wasn't supposed to be.
Bad writing, with a horrible, disconnected story line that had no real flow or reason. The progression of the movie was hard to enjoy, the plot development made no sense.

First off, This movie was very cool even if you weren't familliar with the second one. This is a good comeback! I however thought the first one was great. Second time dir. Troy Duffy really brings it together again with something new-and keeps the flow going all the way through. The style of action and dialogue are definately Duffy's own trademark and certainly NOT a Tarrantino rip off. Thats what makes this a Saints flick! It was even nice to see Rocco Show up (spoiler) I definately enjoyed this movie.

For those of us who are Saint-fanatics already...this movie was icing on the cake!! I love that this wasn't an attempt to redo the original. This movie stood on its own two feet. Yeah, there was a lot of nostalgic moments and references (which the crowd laughed and applauded) but there was so much new stuff. This movie was so balanced. It sucked in the crowd and made us part of the whole experience. People even hung around after the feature discussing all the highlights. This movie rocked and it even left an opening for a Saints III and if that happens i will be more than happy to drive another 2 hours to see it!!

Great sequal to a cult classic. The audience applauded and cheered at those nostalgic moments and were engaged by the new ones. Duffy rox my socks. I know some people don't care for the first one, but for those who loved it as much as I did, the second one was fantastic too.

For those who have reviewed this movie and not seen the first, realize that you are not a "fan" and thus should not have seen the sequel.
I heard rumors this movie was in production years ago but didn't believe it. When it came out I was very excited but a bit anxious. I love the first one so much, I didn't want them to have an opportunity to ruin it for me.
This picked up exactly where I left off, same sequel chemistry of return original characters and the same action with a different plot. The humor was fantastic and kept the entire audience going while the action kept you glued to their simple story line.
Lastly, I love red heads :)

I went in highly skeptical because I lvoed the original. It surprised me. Good mix of action and comedy to keep you going through the whole thing. The overall story seemed kind of rushed but it doesn't slow the movie down much. I would definitely recommend this to any fans of the original.

Ok, before anyone takes this review seriously just keep in mind I am extremely biased. I have been awaiting this sequel for about 6 years and even if it tanked I would say it was amazing, but it was just a straight-up awesome movie. The characters stayed exactly the same from the first movie, and the introduction of others made it even more enjoyable. It was hilarious, and the action sequences stayed true to the original. This movie was a real treat for the fans, and is also a great walk-in for new fans. Everyone can fall in love with the Saints and follow them in their quest for justice.

the movie answered a lot of questions the first one left open. The question of Why is answered using a magnificant display of dream sequences. The characters stay true to who they were in the first movie and the new characters introduced mesh well and make sense with their connections. I have probably seen the original more then any other movie made. Drug it to every friends house and made every girlfriend watch it. This sequel could not have been a better match, true to the original it take you through every emotion.
Go see it, at least twice.

This movie is awesome. Perfect follow up from the first movie. Genius story, Hilarious Comedy, Intense Action. Everything I wanted to see and more. Trust me when I say, it was well worth 9 dollars. There might be a need for second round.

This was so much better than what I was expecting. I knew it was gonna be good, but reading past reviews was a bit skeptical of how good it would be. Was the best movie of the year to. Would recommend to anyone and will go again.
