I loved the movie personally! And the IMAX made it even better. I went on opening night and people were all dressed up it was so cute! The movie inspired me to be a WILD THING for halloween this year and it was so much fun! Good movie reflected from a good book!

Can't imagine seeing this on a smaller screen. The IMAX experience made it even easier to enter Max's crazy, weird, awkward, loving, funny, depressing, scary, fun, confused world. Spike perfectly captured what it's like to be an adolescent boy.

This was very different from the book. Dark, intense and would not recommend for a small child...maybe middle school age but not sure even then they would get the point of the story line in the movie.

Okay I was expecting a very childrens like movie, cute characters and all you know. However, MY GOD it was all intense drama O_O I was very into it but some of them seemed bipolar. I wasn;t sure if they turning on eachother or what was all the drama for!

I was amazed by the visuals and the soundtrack. The monsters were terrific and the special effects were stunning. But I felt the script was trying to follow the book too closely and some of the dialogue seemed squeezed in. I also found the boy to be a little too doe-eyes and cute. The boy in the book was more of a pain in the but. Overall, a great film and I recommend seeing at the IMAX.
