This movie was average, of course any 3D movie is fun to watch but this was the first time I ever feel asleep in the middle of a movie. I didn't enjoy it as much as reading the book or watching the original movie as a kid. But taste changes as you age, it could just be me.

i absolutely LOVE this movie! it was amazing in all of it's 3d glory, though i have to admit that i am a Tim Burton/Johnny Depp fan and that's why i wanted to see Alice in Wonderland, but i was pleasantly surprised that it had a complete background story! even though some of the characters look....strange to say the least

Tim Burton is the greatest director ever! This movie was beyond amazing! I absolutely loved every single part of it! Johnny Depp was as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen and Alan Rickman as the smoking caterpillar were brilliantly cast and did an amazing job, as well as Alice and the rest of the cast. The visuals were absolutely breathtaking and perfect. All around a great film for all ages. I already had high expectations for it, but it went far beyond those expectations! I loved it, and will definitely be seeing it again!

Well, we go to see movies to be entertained, right? Alice In Wonderland was entertaining and fun. I may have been full of too much movie-hype, but after watching the film, I felt like I was just "satisfied" and that's it. I felt that the 3D aspect did not really add to the film and that it was 2D in many ways. Speaking of 3D, the animation of the human characters, especially of "Stayne" on his horse was stiff and amateur. I think that there was way too much dramatics put on the Hatter, which actually slowed the film down. All in all, I am glad that I saw it. I was entertained, but my expectations for this film were not met.

As a fan of Tim Burton I am disappointed at how his work has greatly diminished in quality. It's like he wasn't even trying anymore. They story was alright and Johnny Depp was fantastic but the rest of the film fell flat and boring. Anticlimactic and poorly set up. It was alright, no Oscar.

Tim Burton's Alice and wonderland changes the whole story of the original one in such an amazing way. Even the characters are all amazing. Tim burton did a phenomenal way of portraying alice and wonderland in a creative and creepy yet comforting way. I would watch this movie over and over again. It was beautiful and I would expect nothing less from Burton concerning how pleasing something can be to the eye. He makes things quiet breathtaking. I love Alice In Wonderland/Through The Looking Glass for how dark and fantastic things seem to be. Even confusing at times. This is especially true for the Mad Hatter. Now Depp did an outstanding job and I mentioned the film was eye-catching, but I felt like everything handed to me was a "watered-down" version. Maybe this was to keep a PG rating? Anyways, I guess I personally wanted more eerie. I needed it to be a bit creepier. I wanted to be bewildered and left there.

This movie was an absolute masterpiece. Keep in mind that it IS Disney and it IS rated PG (for all you critics who wanted more of a twist and deeper meaning). This is a beloved classic and I do believe Carroll would be proud. Although a fan of the original 1951 animation, this one was visually appetizing and just an overall treat. All of the actors shone beautifully. Excellent and will be seeing again.

This is not the Alice we remember but close enough to be recognizable...I liked her better as the character was given even more dimensions than small and tall...she had depth. Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway were superb and I especially liked the voice of Alan Rickman as the "toking the hookah...who are you?" catapiller/butterfly. Visually, beautifully done in 3D!

Loved this movie! It had a few twists that made it friendly to the over 10 crowd while keeping some of the things that made Alice in Wonderland a Disney classic. I only wish the movie was a little longer. At times it felt as though Tim Burton was conforming to Disney convention but that didn't take away at all from his incredible imagination or cinematic vision.
Johnny Depp was amazing (as usual), Mia Wasikowska was an excellent choice for the role of Alice. Although she's the bad guy, I have to say that Helena Bonham Carter's "Red Queen" was my favorite character.
This movie was equally nostalgic, relevant, funny, whimsical and absolutely enjoyable. It has "cult classic" written all over it!

Being a huge Tim Burton fan and an even bigger Johnny Depp fan, I was very excited for this movie and had high expectations as soon as I heard this film was being made. I went to the 3D midnight showing and was not disappointed at all. It felt as if I was literally in Wonderland right alongside Alice, experiencing the magic. The characters were funny and stayed very close to the original ones, the lines and acting was impressive, and the artwork and scenery were breathtaking. This movie will make you laugh and take you on an exciting adventure. Mia Wasikowski, Helena Bonham Carter, and Anne Hathaway were delightful and Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter was amazing. I definitely recommend it and can't wait to see it again tonight!

I think the overall movie was great! It was a typical Tim movie. I liked the story line and all the effects. He really brought Wonderland to life. I like the digital 3D experience except for the parts that had a lot of brown and red colors...everything seemed to mesh.

The 3D was comparable to what you get a snippet of @ the shows in Disney World/Land. Excellent movie wonderful amusing/entertaining charactors and the total 3D effect. The white Queens part left a little to be desired as far as scenes and costume. The theater I was @ there were people dressed up as many of the charactors as it was the opening night premiere but non as the white queen ( just a little awkward part) Still I would not change a thing in this day and age of blue ray and LED/LCD/Plasma this needs to truly be seen on the big screen for the Total effect.

I was more than positive that this movie was going to be phenominal. A bit disappointed. Was very stimulating, creative, and beautiful. But for some reason, it just didn't grab me like I expected. Maybe I was expecting too much and that's the problem. Depp breaks out into this Thriller like dance at the end, that in my opinion didn't fit at all. It was about 3 seconds long, and made it drop a few points in my book. The Red Queen & the Heir are the best parts.

I'm not sure what's worse- the fact that the screenwriter has clearly never read an Alice book, or the fact that this movie is lacking in character development, tension, and purpose. When we first meet 20 year old Alice, she is already an independent, strong minded woman, so I'm not exactly sure what she's supposedly learning in wonderland through the movie, but it's sure not how to entertain. It would have been possible to overlook all of the inconsistencies (the white queen is supposed to be a dottering old fool who lives life backwards, not a graceful Anne Hathaway) if the move had at least been well structured, but it was an utter disaster.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This movie has a slow start but it is a fun version. I went to see it at the midnight release and I wish I had slept instead.
I think all of us wanted it to be more than it was thought it was still just okay.
