I will have to agree with some of the reviews I read about this movie lacking some of Tim Burtons sinisterness. It was not as dark as you thought this movie could have been. My 6 year old thought it delightful so not real worry about scaring the over 5 crowd. I feel the movie was rushed in parts and they could have developed the story a bit more. I mean you got out of the theater understanding the jist of the tale it just did not mesmerise you like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, or even Interview with a Vampire. The acting was excellent and the 3d effects were sometimes very hard to focas on. Overall a great movie, just expected it to be a bit more climatic... You may know the general story just a bit more umph needed...Enjoy the show!

It was not all I hoped it would be. I didn't feel I developed much of a closeness with the characters. I absolutely loved the original Disney version and the television series as a kid, and here I felt not even Tweedle dee and Tweedle Dum were as loveable as they could have been. Although the 3D was well done, I was hoping to see more of a wonderous Wonderland. I expected to love it somewhere between Sweeney Todd and Avatar... hoping Tim Burton could make a setting even more beautiful than the Na'vi forest, but since Alice's childhood experiences were not in the story more than a very very short time, I was disappointed.

Tim Burton and his amazing company of players have done it yet again. While Burton has written many of his own amazing stories, his interpretation of Lewis Carrol was perfection. The door of endless possibilities has opened.... with Disney dollars behind it, the effects were exactly as one would imagine seeing the cartoon come to life. Johnny Depp is ever so charming, and cheers to Crispin Glover as well, he just does 'dark' so deeply. This is not for the toddlers, but Burton films rarely are...thank goodness! After going to the midnight show, I will say, I wish there was a 21+ midnight screening. I don't know how so many teens got out on a school night, but we were definitely outnumbered.

Wow........ What all can I really say about this movie? The effects were great, the acting was great, the storyline was great, the WHOLE THING was aMAZing. While it was visually good, the blend between live action and animation didn't work for me, it actually looked cartoonish. It had a really poor script, bland characters, predictable story. There was no substance, just style and visuals, very disappointing. I couldn't find anything wonder-ful in the story, it was just generic!. WE'RE TALKING ABOUT WONDERLAND, THE PLACE WHERE WHAT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN, HAPPENS. There was so much material that could have been used, but Tim Burton blew it. I had expected much from the director of such gems as Bettlejuice and Edward Scissorhands. but then again, he also directed Planet of the Apes and Charlie & the Chocolate F. Tim Burton was a great match for Alice... The visuals were very good. and they did a good job of not flooding the film with 3D flashes. Although the 3D effects that were included were accurately placed. Visually this movie is stunning. However it seems that Tim Burton has lost his ability for telling a story. The dialogue and the characters were stilted and difficult to care for. The Mad Hatter dancing scene was particularly painful as it all came off gimmicky. Once again Tim Burton has not let us down and stretched the limits of imagination! He put a twist on the already twisted story and made it new, but kept the old feel. Definetly creapy, as always for him, so definetly not for easily scared children (rating not joking when it says "scary images and situations"). And even though Johnny Depp is a main charactor he is not the soul focus, and plays his typical, crazy, creapy charactor role (as always when working with Burton). Over all an excelent film and totally worth watching at the theater! I manage a video store and watch tons of movies, and it is so nice to watch something different, and as always Tim Burton and Johnny Depp gives us that something different.

This was an enjoyable experience for me. Alice in Wonderland moves along well, I never lost interest. The cast was perfect. I was disappointed with the graphic coloring of the movie...very washed out. 3D effects color alot. I will certainly rent this movie when it comes out and will enjoy the full color then with BluRay and big flat panel...no 3D.

I loved the movie. It was excellently written. It wasn't too long, and it wasn't too short. It's a movie to go to, but make sure you're not exhausted going to it, because some things might not make sense. Enjoy the movie!

Tim Burton never lets you down. Alice in Wonderland Burton style puts you in a dream state, draws you into its world and leaves you breathlessly in love with its characters. This is a movie not to be seen, but to be experienced. I would suggest that parents with kids under the age of 10 be aware that some of the images may be unsettling for very young children, but not so far-fetched from any of the more violent films that are on tv. Great movie!

I was skeptical at first for disney to be recreating one of my childhood favorites but it was amazing. I loved every second of it, and would definitely recommend it to all my friends. Absolutely love Johnny Depp and his acting, and everyone else was spectacular as well!
