The newest version of Alice In Wonderland wasn't very good. The story was a mess. Well, the book was a bit of a mess too, but this movie just felt hurried along. Yet somehow at times I lost interest. Johnny Depp's performance was... okay. The movie left me bored at times and the visual effects were dark, not dark in a cool dystopian kind of way, but just dark and dim. The 3-D aspect of the version I saw was poorly implemented and wasn't worth the higher price of the ticket. There we just too many 3-D scenes that felt forced. Mist? Bugs? I don't recommend this movie.

This is a great story told in a new and exciting way--as only Tim Burton can do. Movie was funny and exciting and is sure to hold anyone's interest. Only problem I had with the movie was the similarities between Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter character and his character, Willy Wonka, in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Tim Burton has done it again! I've never read the books but from what i hear bout them the movie kept extremely close! i love & enjoyed every single second of it! Johnny Depp (Mad Hatter), Anne Hathaway (White Queen), & Helena Bonham Carter (Red Queen) were the best people to play each of those parts! I also love the way Burton made it a sequel, if you will, to the original cartoon but also @ the same time it was a combination of "Alice in Wonderland" & "Through the Looking Glass"!!! I will own this movie when it comes out on DVD.

Alice in wonderland was visually beautiful movie with surreal art and vivid graphics. Great presentation of the characters, but It wasn't as gripping as I thought it would be, a little hollow I must say for Tim Burton's. This movie was excellent in all ways. The storyline followed the original book very well and brought back memories from my childhood. The characters were vivid and brilliant. (Cheshire cat was coooool). Johnny Depp did not have to act much differently than he has in the past, as the Mad Hatter was a perfect match for him. 3D is the way to go! Tim Burton, you have created another memorable movie! All thumbs up! BTW...saw the movie at 10:30am on a friday...no crowds!

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I loved the costumes, makeup and the cinematography. Although, it was my intention to brush up on the actual story of Alice in Wonderland before I viewed the movie, it was not that diffucult to follow the storyline. Alice and Wonderland completely blew me out of the water. Tim burton took a step in a different direction this go around and proved he could make what seems creepy, adorable and funny. Though the Mad Hatter is a main character, the best was probably the Cheshire Cat, who in past movies has been spooky. Burton took the time to develop the character in new ways, and in doing so has made one of the best movies to date.

It was okay. Like, nothing too great, but not horrid. It's basically an entire different take on the original. If you're looking forward to it being just like the original, you'll be disappointed. All I can say is, Johnny Depp is a genius, and the girl that plays Alice is adorable. She doesn't get annoying at all. The movies like a big acid trip that's gone wrong. A truly suburb film! It is a great blending of Carroll’s two books, making minute references to small things from both stories. The story is good. Surprisingly substantive - less a fluffy, fantastical farce & more a dark fantasy with great humor. Screenwriter did an excellent adaptation for the big screen & adult audiences (though I do miss the Walrus & the Carpenter). Digital 3D is awesome, & I love the fact that the CG in this movie was understated and natural-looking (with the exception of Stayne - his stilted walk jarred me), rather than overwhelming. Top-notch acting, & casting that was almost spot-on. If you're just looking for an updated version of the 1951 Disney animated film, this won't be for you. If, however, you're open to a deeper, darker, more mature interpretation of the material presented in a wonderful format, don't miss this!

First of all if you're going to this movie for the 3D effects you will be disappointed, it's no Avatar. Second if you are a die hard fan of the animated version you will be disappointed. But if you just want to have fun at the movies this is the one for you. There is no great acting or content of any kind but it was fun, funny, and pure entertaining for all ages. Don't go with any preconceived notions or expectations just go to enjoy yourself at the movies.

I have been waiting for this movie for a long time and I was not disappointed! The scenes were stunning! Wonderland looked so amazing! It wasn't so overdone that all we could focus on was the scenery. The characters were wonderful! I am a Lewis Carol fan and I loved how Burton used flashbacks to explain what was going on! I would definitely go see this movie again!
