The art, costumes, 3D effects were fantastically amazing. Unfortunately, this movie didn't strike me as most of Burton's films do. I am a huge fan of his work...but I am not loving Alice In Wonderland. I didn't enjoy the twist on the story line. The entire plot was painfully predictable. I enjoyed this movie as eye candy, nothing more.

The artististry, scenery, and use of 3D were my favourite things about it in that exact order. Then I'd say Johnny Depps acting superb. The creative fantasy aspect was B plus in my book. But my standards are some would say ridiculously high. The story was very good too and some of the other actors were good also. I wonder if I saw it in IMAX if it would be worth it even more or not. My guess no.

This movie was good. The 3D was amazing as well. The acting was outstanding. Hats off to Depp, he is brilliant as always! The storyline was good, however, it could have been better and I think the title should have been different so people are not walking in thinking the movie is as same as the book or the Disney animated version. I can't say enough how well they did! They took Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There, and even the Jabberwocky poem and fused them all together in a brand-new classic! Truly enjoyable, the actors did a fantastic job. I recommend seeing it in 3D, as some of the effects are just that much more amazing when you see them right in front of you.

We went to see the movie for the special effects as neither of us had seen a 3D movie in years. They were excellent, although by the end of the movie I was getting a bit of a headache. The movie itself we felt was a bit slow and dragged. With all that said, we both are glad we saw the movie, especially in 3D.

I am truelly lost as to the reviews people have given this movie. My girlfriend was doing everything she could to keep her eyes open. I on the other hand was thinking about pulling out the cell to play some games. I don't do drugs so I guess that might have something to do with this.

Though I did not think it for little children at all, I thought it was grand entertainment for adults, well cast and well done. I did love Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter but of course Alice was the real star and hero to the end. I'm not crazy about 3D but I'm beginning to just let go and accept the glasses. I'd consider seeing it a 2nd time. Go enjoy it.

Given the talent present in the making of this movie, it could have been so much better. It was a good movie, but it really could have been a great one. The costumes were phenomenal. Mia Wasikowska as Alice was amazing. Johnny Depp was a pretty low key Mad Hatter. Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen was quite fun, but Anne Hathaway's White Queen was a bit over done. I could tell she was trying really hard to act.

I attended this movie with my highschool age daughter. As a retired educator wiith a degree in reading, I have always adored childrens' books. Therefore, I was eager to see this movie. It was unbelievably awesome and I would certainly love to see it again. However, I believe if one is not familiar with the stories behind this movie, they will not recieve the full meaning and understand some parts where the characters allude to the events first explored in those wonderfull, timeless, and classic books authored by Lewis Carroll.

I took my daughter to see it last night and she was soo excited. The sound effects and seeing it in 3D was really great. There were a couple of slow moments but overall I would give the movie a 4 out of 5.

I liked the idea that Alice didn't remember her last adventure and was re-living a dream that she had constantly. We all have had those dreams. The story line was great, a continuation of the Classic with some flashbacks. The special effects, 3D, were tastefully done, not overdone and really complimented the movie. I'd really recommend this to anyone, even people with children, the scenes weren't too scary and the smoking cat is part of the story and Alice lets you know that it isn't nice.

This movie is an excellent way to spend a couple of hours. The story is not so watered down that adults find it childish, and not involved enough to put it too far over kids' heads. It's also not "The Johnny Depp Show." Mia Wasikowska is the star and it shows, but the ensemble is very well-balanced. It's fun and funny, and even as a 39-year old adult I found my pulse racing a bit at the end, and hoping there would be another Tim Burton trip down the rabbit hole during the closing credits.
And I'd like to learn how to funderwhack. :)

I had such high hopes for this movie, but left the theater sorely disappointed. The actress who plays Alice is terribly bland and it is difficult to care what happens to her, and the "real world" framing story is dull and ineffectual. The 3-D is cool, but there are times when things move so quickly that everything becomes one big blur.
Johnny Depp breaks out in some kind of weird breakdance at the end, a complete anachronism that made some of the audience laugh and some of it groan. I groaned.
AVATAR was a good movie that was also in 3-D. ALICE IN WONDERLAND is something that is in 3-D that also happens to be a movie. Those are two very different approaches to filmmaking and storytelling.

The movie was good. I think it would have been better in regular vision. I did not enjoy the 3-D experience.

Alice in Wonderland was excellent!! My children (boys- ages 8,8 &7) were enthralled by it and I thought it was extremely well done and moved very quickly. When the end came, I couldn't believe it had been almost 2 hours! I heard that it was violent and dark, but I didn't find it to be excessively either one. Of course, it is Tim Burton so it's a little more "twisted" but just amazing.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

From what I remember about the original AIW was that it was so unpredictable - more like a dream. In this version, as soon as Alice falls in the hole, it becames Hollywood formula predictable. I was dissappointed in Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. He was more smitten than mad.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!! Enjoyed the whole movie, especially in 3D - very inventive twist on a classic and can't say enough about Johnny Depp - special effects were more than believable - go see it!!
