" Alice" played the role perfectly ! She has an amazing face. Scenes full of good visual fantasies. Animals were so fun to watch. I felt Red Queen fell flat. Mad Hatter came across as we expected from Depp...entertaining. Loved seen the story once again since I remember it so well from my childhood in the 50s !!! Took my 20 and 21 year old kids to it and 3 D helped them get in to it since they didn't have the sweet memories of the story as I did from years ago.

I really enjoyed the special effects and thought the movie had mesmerizing scenery. The cast was outstanding - especially Johnny Depp. The animated characters were perfectly blended in with the real characters to the point that you almost forgot they were animated. But I found myself losing interest about 2/3rds of the way through the movie. Having said that, I'd still recommend it. Very fun!

This was AWASOM!!! The 3D special effects were outstanding and the acting was superb. Johnny Depp was and as always great. This move may not be for kids under ten years old, a little too intense. I’m going to go see it in IMAX next time.

The imagery was wonderful. I love Crispin Glover and I'm glad he was able to work with Tim Burton. The dancing scene at the end was out of place, stupid and unnecessary, but I'm not about to let a little jig ruin a good time with my family. My daughter loved it and that's all that matters.

The movie was not worth the money, don't go to see it. There were certain parts that were humorous but there was nothing in the movie that really had me going "wow" or "thats so cool." Johnny Depp did a fair job with his role, not the the hatter's normal mad but more of a Multiple Personality Disorder mad. The CGI of the movie might have made it worse, the world was so dull. I cannot understand why anyone would say "I loved that movie" after seeing it. It reminded me of the movie "A Wrinkle in Time" as far as the visuals went.

Poor storyline, Tim Burton basically took all the bits and pieces of the original movie that he liked and put them together in a lackluster darker rendition. Too many reviewers have said that this movie is a retelling of the Alice story...that is inaccurate. This Movie is more of a sequel of the Alice stories that takes place years after Alice's first trips to Wonderland. Depp plays an incredible Hatter and the selection for voices of the CG characters couldn't have been more perfect. I definitely look forward to seeing Mia Wasikowska (Alice) in future films.

The trailer was great, but about ten minutes into this train wreck, I began to lose the will to live. The 3D was wasted in my opinion, and indeed, several scenes just dragged on with nobody doing anything, just sitting there. This movie was EXCELLENT! Way better than I had expected. I am a HUGE Johnny Depp fan and his role in this movie reminds me why! The movie is exciting, and maintains your interest throughout the entire movie. The effects, characters, story line could not have been any better! It says PG13, but we took two 7yr olds and they absolutely loved it! None of us were ready for the movie to end. We will probably see this movie many times! =)

I think you have to be a big fan of Tim Burton movies to truly love this version of Alice. The colors and graphics were amazing and I liked the twist on the story from the original animated Disney version. The plot seemed to choppy at times though and the characters seem sad and frightened in a way that was kind of depressing. But, in the end Alice summons up some great girl power, so that's a great message to leave kids with I guess.

LOVED this movie... I am a huge fan of Tim Burton and this movie actually exceeded my expectations! I HATED the 3D. There were many times when the effect couldn't keep up with the movement on the screen, causing a blur of scenery. It's no secret the original film was shot in 2D and the digital 3D added later... don't know whose decision that was, but it was definitely a mistake. That said... Wonderland was a brilliant mad vision to behold! Mia was splendid as Alice, loved the way Anne glided around as the White Queen, Helena was perfect as the Red Queen and Johnny, well, Johnny... could he ever do any wrong in a role?

After reading the critics review (he gave it 1 star) I was somewhat skeptical, but after reading user reviews 4 and 5stars I HAD to see it! a quarter way through the movie I realized that critic had no idea what he was talking about!! This film is classic Tim Burton with just a bouquet of wonderful eye catching amazement! We loved it! 3D I think made it a great experience, although I am going to have to see it again in the regular theater! The 3D was annoying and the story was really boring. I kept looking at my watch to see what time it was. The acting was good though. I enjoyed watching Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Mia Wasikowska. Some of the other cameos were good too. Anne Hathaway was annoying as the White Queen. Don't waste your money on Tim Burton's sellout to Disney. Danny Elfman's music was also very disappointing - I usually LOVE his music.

Helena Bonham Carter is excellent as the Red Queen, she is definitely the right choice for the part. Johnny Depp is good and bad all at once. Although he is a good Mad Hatter he played the part too much like Jack Sparrow and he could have been better spoken. Visual effects, use of color and imagination is wonderful, hooray for 3D. The old black and white movie is yet my favorite.

I felt this movie was built up to be one of the best movies ever, yet it was very boring. At times I had a hard time keeping my eyes open and, after talking to friends across the country, many described the same experience. It had very few moments of suspence and I was disapointed after viewing. Viewers need to understand that this film is Tim Burton's take on the Alice in Wonderland stories. The scenery is breathtaking and the characters are just more fleshed out versions of Lewis Carroll's cast. There are some dark moments, and there are some hilarious moments, and the parallels between Alice's life in London and her adventures in Underland are clearly defined within the story. The ultimate them of the movie "Believe in Yourself and Follow your Heart" is a lovely one. I thought over all it was a good movie, however, I like Ann Hathaway, but didn't like her in this movie. Why does she have to have her arms up like that? Whatever the reason, it didn't come across well.

Fantastic visuals. We saw it in 3D, so that was even cooler. My wife says it was beautiful and refreshing, she was not disappointed. Depp was on the money and Anne Hathaway continues to be great in all her roles. If you're familiar with the story or not, but like a good looking well acted, creative movie, this is one to catch.

3d was best part of movie. Storyline was okay if you have to see it in 3d watch it at the theater if not wait till it comes out on bluray.

We saw the movie in 3D, but I suppose we really didn't need to. The graphics, CGI and color were simply splendid, but I couldn't understand what the Mad Hatter was talking about, whether it be the script, of his accent, it was difficult to follow him. The movie was fast paced, and kept you interested, but the Cheshire Cat was simply magnificent, wondrous, and lovely!
Alice was a little plain for my liking, and the story line was decent.
Anne Hathaway's character was a little forced, she look extremely uncomfortable in her role, and 'flitted' around unceremoniously.
I took my 5 and 6 yr old and the 5 yr old slept through most of it,.
Overall, the book is better, but thank you Tim Burton for a good effort.
