I really enjoyed this movie! I went and saw it with my roommate, two Korean girls and a Korean guy. I'm not usually a big fan of Tim Burton, given other movies he has made that have kind of led me away from watching anymore of his movies, but I loved Alice in Wonderland when I was a child and knowing that this was coming out in movie, I had to go see it! The graphics were amazing and it wasn't just your typical run of the mill Disney movie, it was entertaining, edge of your seat, it made you laugh. It was great! And my Korean friends definitely loved it and my roommate told me it was the best birthday present ever!

Alice in Wonderland was a great movie. Classic Tim Burton effects/casting etc., but I'm a huge Tim Burton fan so I was pleased. A few of the classic Alice in Wonderland elements were left out that I was looking forward to seeing but it was still excellent. Alice was played my a relatively unknown girl but she held her own among much bigger stars. Johnny Depp was fabulous as usual but I think the Cheshire Cat and the Caterpillar stole the show. A very good movie, well worth the ticket price. I would highly recommend it! ;)

This movie was a lot of fun. I attended with my mother and my daughters ages 8 and 10. They were absolutely mesmorized. The story is much different than the Alice story that we are familiar with, with a now adult Alice returning to the nonsensical land of her childhood, though she does not remember her previous visit. The Red Queen has taken over Underland and her tyranny has turned Underland into a darker land where a band of renegades are preparing to remove the Queen from ther throne and restore their freedom. With meticulous detail the 3-D tale comes to brilliant life and is a very enjoyable way to spend two hours

After seeing Avatar, Alice didn't hold a candle in the 3D department. The movie was a little dark, definitely not for the young 'uns. Actors were great though, especially Johnny, and once I picked up the story line I enjoyed that as well. Typical young hero saves a fallen world.

Alice in Wonderland was truly a beautiful and amazing movie. Helena Bonham Carter stole the show!!! I loved the message of the movie - we all are in control of our destinies and have the strength and wisdom to make our own decisions that are best for each and one of every one of us.
This movie was my first experience with 3D. I was a bit apprehensive about seeing this kind of movie being that I wear glasses. The 3D glasses miraculously fit over my glasses, so I was able to enjoy the experience.

This wasn't one of Tim Burton's better movies, nor was it Johnny Depp's best work. A strange adaptation of the Alice story, it never really engaged me. Almost fell asleep twice, my wife had the same experience, didn't even hold the interest of my six year old son. The cgi was good, the 3D fair. Compared to Avatar and some of the other recent cgi 3D movies I've seen this one was a disappointment. Might be worth renting after it's released on DVD, but not worth the cost of a movie ticket and snacks!

The poster for this movie is misleading because it depicts alice as wilting or weak. Though the protagonist, Alice, is strong and independent throughout the movie. It is a healthy depiction of a female lead, one that our mainstream cinema is desperately needing. Also the cinematography is enchanting, the dialogue amusing and quaint. I can't help but feel like this movie was sold solely on the basis of Johnny Depp. Can you have too much Depp? Perhaps I don't recall the original story featuring the Mad Hatter so prominently, but this movie certainly did. Not sure if I would bring a child to see this. It was quite a crazy story and would be more suitable to a teenager instead of a child. Some of the visuals of beheaded people were a bit over the top. I think this movie was OK. Not great, but OK. Definitely the most over-hyped film in a while.

It was non stop entertainment from start to finish. This is a classic movie that both parents and children will enjoy. It reminded me of The Wizard of Oz, with great visual effects, amazing creatures, and a story strong enough to keep parents entertained. (With a little creepiness, ala Tim Burton.) Helena Bonham Carter was fabulous, as was Johnny Depp.
Take your children out and enjoy a movie that they will remember for a long time. We saw it in 3D, and I think that made it even better.

The 3d movie was great. I caught myself jumping a few times when it looked like things were flying at me. The detail of the 3d surprised me, it was more than I expected. My eyes had a little trouble focusing once or twice, but besides that the movie seemed more realistic than anything I had expected. Props to the smiling cat.

To be clear, this is NOT a remake. It is a delightful next chapter. This movie represents the imagination of Tim Burton in a great way, and provokes the imagination of the audience continuously. I have grown use to the epic movies I have gone out to see recently, including Avatar, and Harry Potter, so when Alice ended after just under 2 hours, I was actually kinda still getting into it. However for attention span of the younger crowd, this was probably a good idea. For someone who has gone and checked out their old Alice movie, you will without a doubt enjoy all of the smile details, and the fun that Tim Burton and the cast have with this new adventure.

Not a fan of Anne Hathaway as the WQ, but otherwise LOVED the characters & how they were played. Had a hard time with the nonsensical jibberish and the accents, but otherwise thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Must see in 3D!

Ok I have a great love for all things: 1 Alice in Wonderland 2 Tim Burton But I found myself just not LOVEing this movie. The problem is that although the art was great, the cast was great, the plot was great... Anytime something that should have pulled me in to connect with the charactors or story came along... there was an arbitrary distraction. Case in point... not spoiling anything till you see it, Cottonwood seeds were not appropriate effect at THAT moment, flies would be better.
I and my boyfriend (artist, actor and mutual fan) felt detatched from this movie and we wanted to be absorbed by it.
