Hello all, This is a good movie over all. I did happen to see in 3D, now 3D being what it is can make or break a movie. I was not happy with the 3D of this one, I have a few reasons. Number 1: Not enough use of the extra feature. Number 2 : Use of 3D far between. Number 3: The few moments of 3D were far too short and didnt make the ooowwws and aaaawwws you expect from 3D. The movie as a whole is a good movie with a good story to continue previous Alice in Wonderland movies/cartoons. If anyone plans to see this movie I would really recommend seeing None 3D regular or imax. I hope this will help other viewers decide on what definition to go see this movie.

Everyone should see this movie! I thought the 3D effects were great, the acting was superb, and the story line was more than I expected. The whole family can enjoy this movie and it doesn't hurt that Johnny Depp once again gives a brilliant performance...and he's still hot.

I really enjoyed this movie... there is a lott of hidden symbolism viewers should look out for. at least for me, it made the movie even more interesting because of all the elaborate intricacy to it. the movie is a metaphor of the mind, the battle within. and its also a reflection of society trying to impose itself on alice. YOU are alice. i would se it again. there may be a little cheezy ness in some parts... the meaning i saw in the movie made it not a problem for me.

This movie was everything I could of ever imagined and more! Ever since I heard Burton was at play again, especially with a movie with so many psychadelic possibilities, I have been counting down the days. Every effect, from Crispin Glover's elongated body to Depp's color changing eyes, made this my second favorite to Burton's 'Nightmare Before Christmas'. For true Burton and Depp fans this is one you simply can't miss; but you have to see it in 3D!! Taking my 8yr old son to see it next weekend. Confession: caught earliest movie on Friday while he was in school :)

Tim Burton really did a tremendous job on this one. And seeing it in 3-D made it that much more awesome. It's not that there is a bunch of stuff flying at you which is a good thing. It just really made the scenes pop out and made the story that much more believable. Alice all grown up is a rather good take on the story. You Must go see it!

I remembered how much I enjoyed the cartoon version and perhaps those memories led me to get my hopes up. This new 3D one hardly mentioned the talking flowers, it didn't even briefly depict the water scene with the talking oysters, she never walks into the rabbits house, in fact she doesn't seem to get lost at all. I found the this new version to be disappointing and difficult to follow. What was that scroll about? And why was the king dead? And why is the red queens head so big? Who is that guy that takes orders from the red queen? etc. It was visually appealing, but otherwise an unimpressive movie; I wouldn't pay to see it twice.

I know it's a phrase commonly used to describe a television series that has gone too far, but watching the Hatter's "dance" near the end of the picture, it occurred to me that something that started out amazing and full of potential ended on a note that made me think I'd just been hoodwinked by a studio that wanted to make the movie appealing to as wide an audience as possible at the expense of artistic integrity. Having a pop artist replace Elfman's appropriate (if somewhat clichéd) score during the credits seemed to seal the deal for me. This could have been great, and Burton could have done it right, but I think someone's artistic vision was repressed by a studio's (and a directors?) greed. I guess it worked... they got my $15.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! 3D technology has certainly come a long way and you will become fully immersed in this flick, enjoying one spetacular scene after another, and constantly feeling as if you are truly a part of the movie!!! Every character is incredible and adds a special element to the magic of this film. I myself am a huge Cheshire Cat Fan and adored every moment this gorgeous creature and his wide-toothy mesmerizing grin commanded the screen BUT it is indeed the Mad Hatter that stole the show for the majority of the viewers. This film is just too cool for words...but I have been pondering some that begin with the letter M.....Magical, Mesmerizing, Mindblowing, Mad, Must See~LOL!!! I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Knowing it was a Tim Burton movie I did not go into it expecting a true re-make of Alice in Wonderland but an interpretation of it. That's what Burton gives you and I found it fun, especially since I never really liked the story to begin with. The performances of everyone in the cast are excellent with Johnny Depp showing glimpses of every character he has ever played. I'm going to go again to see if I can name them all.

I was hoping to really love this movie. As a kid Alice in wonderland was a great story but with this movie I was really disappointed. It was everything but into a 1 hr 49min. Confusing and the 3D gave me a headach. Could of been alot better but it wasn't. Wasn't happy at all with it but my kids like it so that's what count. I guess.

Tim Burton did a wonderful job. He even sneaked a decapitation in under the nose of Disney. Depp doing the jabberwocky poem under his breath was great. My first 3D movie and I will always remember it. But also the first of many. The old blue and red glasses never worked for me. Since the new ones work I don't think I could go back to 2D movies. I seriously may have to go back and see this again and again.

I loved the imagery, the characters, Burton's typical "over the topness" and colors. But the 3D wasn't that important to all of the above. Save your pennies, and see it in regular mode.

Interesting visuals seemed to be the backbone for a poorly written storyline. Character dialogue was incoherent babbling a good majority of the time. Far too much motion blur prevented fully seeing the events in the high action scenes. Over hyped and not worth the $60 I paid for my family to see it.

I approached this move with skepticism because I have loved the book(s) all my life. The production was terrific because the writers dramatized the story and preserved the essence of the characters--Rickman voicing the Caterpillar, Fry the Cheshire Cat, Depp sweeping through the picture as the Mad Hatter--of course it isn't the same as the books but it stands out as marvelous entertainment in its own right.

Alice in wonderland was a phenomenal movie with amazing 3D aspects of it. the only problem i had with the movie is that the rabbit never said in the original way "your late your late for a very important date". he kinda just mentioned it to her. other than that. i would recommend to all to see :) Johnny Depp was amazing!!!! haha

I went into this movie thinking it would be absolutely great, but I was really dissapointed. First, the whole movie felt rushed. Second Johnny Depp (Hatter) seemed to play three different roles, first he had a bizarre accent, then he had a lisp and then he was Jack Sparrow (Pirates), and in the end it was like "pick one already!!" Also, his character [the Hatter] seemed really broken and I found myself wanting more development of his character to find out why he was so broken. Third, Alice (Wasikowska) had no character at all, which made it really hard to feel a connection to her. Last, the plot was mediocre at best. It was extremely predictable, and overall not entirely that interesting. But, visually it was amazing!
No, I do not recommend this movie.

All the wonder and confusion of the novel is mashed-up, then spit onto the big-screen. Another lame movie by Tim Burton.
This is freaking bad. Read reviews. It's a mush of confusing scenes that just tirelessly go on.
But the director....why do the studios give this guy movies?
Batman? Amazing. Ed Scissorhands? A masterpiece. Since that he's the M Night of kid fantasy flicks. One disappointment after another. Sleepy Hollow? Dud. Mars Attack! Unwatchable. Planet of the Apes? An embarrassment! Big Fish? Come on, dude. Charlie and the Choc Factory? Seriously? 9? Wtf?
Has nobody learned their lesson? (clearly I haven't) He just sucks as a storyteller.
