First off the rating should be PG-13 and not just PG. The floating heads in the river kinda off puts things a little. It's sad to see how desensitized we have become as a society. It off puts you a little bit because its actually a return to Wonderland type movie or at least thats what it seemed like to me. I haven't seen the original one in a long time but this one was done differently.

It was great Johnny Depp of course was amazingly fantastic and Helena Boham Carter was amazing as well. Ann Hathaway wasnt bad though all she had to do was waltze around and be nice. The effects are great and I love Tim burtons work It was relly good. But not perfect.

Don't miss it... Remember, this is a story we all know by heart. As many have noted it is a dark movie. Most of the adult generation have grown up seeing violence, real and celluloid, on television. Parents can shield their children as mine tried but kids WILL see it, now if not as soon as they become teens. Rather to show and instruct than to have them scarred as the leave home and experience life when loving guides are left behind. As for the kids, there is more real and implied violence on Saturday cartoons and in the games kids discuss in school when out of "parent shot" than in Alice. I enjoyed it but Avatar and the violence kids saw there is more justified than this -- Avatar is a factor of 5 the better movie.

I adore Johnny Depp so this movie was a "must see" for me. Depp was good, but not great. Helena Bonham Carter was wonderful as the Red Queen and stole the show, so to speak. Anne Hathaway was expectedly cool and regal. Mia Wasikowska was absolutely teriffic in the title role. I thoroughly enjoyed it although the movie is not totally true to the work(s) of Lewis Caroll. I would strongly recommend that you see this movie in the 3-D version. The details and colors are much more clear and vibrant.

This movie most definitely should have been rated PG13 due to graphic violence. Although computerized, and "fantasy" as it's called in the review, the removal of animal's eyeballs and chopping off of heads in 3D should be shown to grownups, if at all. Way too intense for most young minds. Tim Burton should not try to dabble in Disney. Shame on both of them.

I have been waiting to see this movie since the first time I saw the preview on the Avatar movie. I mainly wanted to see it because Alice in Wonderland is my favorite Disney film and I love Johnny Depp. I went into it with an open mind because I had heard some things about it and didn't want anything to cloud my opinion until I saw it for myself. I loved it, absolutely loved it. I like how Tim Burton turned the Disney version into his own dark and dreamy Wonderland. I just love Tim Burton period. But this movie was amazing, the graphics were great, and the way he pictured and brought the characters to life was simply brilliant. From the Queen of Hearts' giant head to the White Queen's chess piece army. Got quite a few laughs out of this movie as well, some just because some of the voices i recognized and put a face to. I really recommend this movie to everyone. ENJOY!

Started slow then picked up good. However the ending was not good at all. I enjoyed the special effects and to be honest the best part was the "crazies" More a kid to tween movie

I went to see this movie in Digital 3D with two other couples. $85.00 for tickets, and the movie was, in my opinion, horrible.
I found the 3D to be unnecessary, and the movie to be a complete mess.
Don't waste your money.

I really loved this movie. The concept is ingenious and the graphics were amazing!! It's a movie that interests the mind and pleases one's inner child. It was all the more real in 3D and I recommend it to anyone with an imagination!!!
