Loved, loved, loved this movie! I took my 5 year old daughter and she loves the cartoon Alice and Wonderland, and now she loves this one too. We can't wait until it comes out on DVD! 3D is definately the way to go!

This was my first 3D movie and I took my sister and my boyfriend to see it. I love Tim Burton films and this is now one of my favorites. The story line, quality,and 3D graphic were amazing. I would definately see this movie again and refer all my friends.

The only redeeming quality of this movie: the movie looked nice (there were some spots where the different 3D layers made visuals with no 3D effect look flat). Unfortunately, there was no point to this borefest, other than stunnning visuals.
I came away from this flick with two question: "Why would I have cared about these characters?" and, "Is there a point to their existence?"
Perhaps if I were a consumer of LSD, "Alice" would have been something to be excited about. Having never partaken of LSD, however, I say, "Who are all the people raving about this insomnia-curing dud of a movie? Are that many people really taking hallucinogens?"
Beautiful visuals mean little without a compelling characters and story.

As the title states, this was my first 3D movie and I could not have picked a better movie to see in 3D. Went to see this with my 7 yr old son and we were both in awe from beginning to end. The story line was great - Johnny Depp was creepy as the Mad Hatter - graphics were AMAZING - absolutely beautiful imaging used in this film. I felt it was well worth the money. Would definitely recommend it and would see it again. Our FAVORITE part - The Cherise Cat - I want ONE!!! :) Amazing smile!"

I went to see this thinking it was the traditional story that has already been remade about 25 times, not knowing this was new story based on Alice returning to Wonderland as a 19-year old and becoming a great champion. Johnny Depp looks pretty good as a Hatter, but the personality and dialogue of the Hatter does not seem to fit the character as I know him from Lewis Carol's writing.

I liked the tone, the visuals, the feel. I really liked the Mad Hatter (Depp), the Tweetle-twins, Red-Queen (Carter). The tea party and a number of scenes were fun to watch. But Alice seemed disinterested and un-emotive. Anne Hathaway also seemed miscast & horribly directed. Her hand mannerisms could have been treated comically but instead were left out there looking awkward & ill-conceived. It's the director's job to get performances that are at least plausible or interesting from his actors. Burton failed horribly on Alice & Anne. Finally, 3-D effects can't save bad acting & a boring script. Did you ever FEEL for these characters? Overall, at best 3 out of 5 stars.

Enjoyed more than Avatar for entertainment (more fun whereas Avatar was more serious and a lot of violence). Johnny Depp was a hoot - all other characters played very well. The animation was a good match for the movie - loved the dirt and dust coming out at you in the 3D version. Must see 3D.

I'm not usually a Tim Burton fan, but with the classic storyline, Johnny Depp's fantastic performance, all in 3D made this movie a fantastic experience. An epic tale using superb visual and audio effects making the viewer feel part of the movie itself. It made me think of The Chronicles of Narnia if written by Tim Burton and shown in 3D.

Good enjoyable movie in 3D. Story & effects were good. Characters were great fun. Granddaughter that is 9 thought it was the greatest ever and wants a copy for her birthday. The only problem was the sound editing. The actors voices were too soft and muffled which took away from being more a part of the movie experience. Music and song were very good. Enjoyed the dancing very much. Overall rating: A- because of sound.

This was a GREAT movie. The cinematography and special effects were incredible. The 3D did add a lot to the movie's effects, however I did find it occasionally distracting and with the 3D glasses it did seem a bit dark. The story was very good and I liked how they kept true to the original story but added a bit of a twist to it. Without spoiling anything, this was NOT the original story remade for a new generation, and I really liked that. Overall it was an excellent movie. Again the visual effects were great. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 star rating is because I did feel as though with the 3D it was a bit dark.

and not much else. Took my 3 kids to see it and they only talked about the 3D effects and even as much about the 3D trailers as the movie itself. You don't find yourself revisiting any of the story after you've left the theater. Go for the 3D, nothing more.

As the parents of a newly minted teen, having Alice as a companion that embodies the spirit of the age is perfect.
The white queen was an exceptionally meaningful paradigm because she was not a saint. Hathaway revealed that even the epitome of purity has it's dark edges, that a vow can be made & followed but that compliance to the vow, in her case not to 'harm a living thing', is not always desired or easy.
A film to give the young women in your life the opportunity to reinvent themselves with an eye toward their own expectations, which may far outstrap those of popular culture.
This and the film was a Disnified visual feast.

Tim Burton strikes again by creating a slightly creepy version of an already odd tale. The characters are played well and the CG animation is just enough to take you into Wonderland but keep you interested in the story. Amazing how watching it a now you can see the significant parallels written into "The Matrix" Definitely a great story and worth going in 3-D

The movie was "Good", maybe "Okay". The graphics and cinematography was amazing. The plot was different than the children's story - so it made it interesting. The 3D was frustrating because the colors were too dark. Plus, the glasses were tinted. I even tried to not wear them during the movie and even tried cleaning them too thinking they were dirty. I would have liked to see more vivid colors and brighten the set. The plot was a bit shallow. Johnny Depp's involvement was minimal and his character was almost insignificant. Anne Hathaway's character was also minimal. They also could have done more with her white hair and BLACK eyebrows. I hope this helps. Enjoy!

Alice in Wonderland was terrific. It was a really fun movie that touches on a lot of great stories and moral ideas from childhood. It's great to see the continuation of the story that I loved so much as a little girl. 3D made it even better! I loved it - a movie for all ages!

Johnny and Mia played the roles to perfection. The 3-d imaging is intriguing to the eye and the story line was great! For those that are looking for a remake of the Disney version, you may be dismayed. This is a perfect combination of Through the Looking Glass and the classic Disney production. My recommendation is, if you see the 3-d version do not sit close up, it is hard to see the entire picture... but enjoy and lose yourself in this fantastic fantasy.

I took my 9 year old grandson to see this movie, and he thought it was, "Great!" He, like me, is a Johnny Depp fan, so right off, it had to be a good movie. I personally thought it was "Good." A bit DARK, but good. And, I mean "dark" from a visual and theme point of view. The characters were well defined, and the acting was super. If it wasn't as "DARK" a film, I would have rated the movie five stars. Also, I believe it's a tween/teen and adult movie. I don't think younger kids would "get it."
