Good film, especially for seeing w/ grandkids. Make up was great since my grandson only recognized Johnny Depp by his voice. It was a nice little film but I do not think I would have liked it as much if I had not been with a child.
My grandson then spent 20 minutes giving his grandfather an in detail description of this movie, so I knew he really liked it!
I would see this film again but I would not buy it for my personal collection.

I had low expectations for this film and was pleasantly surprised. I found the 3D technology slightly infrior to the James Cameron version used in AVATAR, but not distractingly so. The character development is excellent as is the acting, particularly for the lead players. It is an entertaining "coming of age" film with a surprising (for the time) twist at the end. Good fun.

I'm of the opinion that the current 3d technology hasn't improved and still sucks!
We saw the movie on a non-Imax screen in what was called Disney's Digital 3d.
I don't know if it was the glasses (which were too small) or the technology that was bad but the 3d images were less than impressive.
The plot of the movie was also lacking. Hard to find a character in the movie to really like or even root for-very disappointing.
I'm not quite sure of the point Tim was trying to make with this movie-the empowerment of Alice/women?
I wouldn't recommend that you go out and spend the money to see this thing....

This movie was fantastic!!! It was beautiful to watch and true to the Lewis Carroll original. I was entranced through from start to finish. I loved everything about it! A classic story done in a most amazing new way. Everything about it was phenomenal. Great acting, fantastic makeup, costumes and special effects. Was so very impressed with the entire movie. My 6 and 7 year old were completely enthralled during the whole thing and never once were scared about anything. The craziness of the designs and costumes were absolutely fabulous. I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes Burton, as it is one of his best works yet. The white princess was a bit weird, but overall a great film.

I thought the movie was very entertaining, more so for the teen/adults than for kids. The 3D was very stimulating and did not try to do too much with it. Depp was ok, I thought whomever played Alice did a good job. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum were pretty funny. Crazy Rabbit was Awesome. Many more interesting characters, plot was good.

We all really enjoyed this movie. We brought our 2 sons, 6 and 3. Even my 3 year old stayed awake the whole time which says a lot for a 3 year old. Johnny Depp is amazing and so is Helena Bonham Carter. I would definately recommend this movie and would even go see it again if the opportunity presented itself.

Tim Burton did a good job bringing a twist to the story of Alice as a young woman. Johnny Depp was perfect as the Mad Hatter. I do feel the 3D effects could have been better. The movie was not as good as all the hype. Anne Hathaway had a miserable performance and her acting was overplayed. I had read a popular entertainment magazine's review of the movie and was very surprised when I saw all their comments shot down. Alice does eventually (very briefly) remember her time in Wonderland as a child. The Cheshire cat isn't shown to humor the fans, but he actually has a role in the movie and especially in the beheading scene! The costumes are gorgeous, "off with his head" does not get old. It was like "Titanic", those girls in those laced-up societies that break free, I just loved it!

Someone in another review said not to get the glasses. I would have gotten a headache without them and soon forgot I was wearing them. It was a fantastic adventure and humorous in parts and "gross" in others. I could have done without 3 of the more graphic parts but otherwise was really entertained. I recommend this movie.

Best 3D of all the ones that I have seen lately. Disney animation is awesome as usual.
My grand-kids, ages 9 and 14 enjoyed it alot. Would recommend as a movie that the family can see together and all enjoy it.

The movie was absolutly awesome, however, there just is not enough action to make it worth 3D. In my opinion, the 3D idea only gets people to pay an extra $5 a ticket. If this were a big action flick like Avatar, then the 3D would have been great. The movie just doesn't have enough action to give it that 3D wow factor. I would have given it a 5 if it were a regular movie. The 3D, not worth the extra money.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
