Blade meets Resident Evil, but consistent feel of the Underworld series. This was by far in my opinion the most entertaining of the series! I enjoyed it so much that I wish I could wipe my memory clean and watch it over again for the first time! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time; I felt like I was on a roller coaster ride. It was amazing! Full of action; perfect recipe of action, adventure, horror, plot, acting, visuals, effects, sound, all of that. Bravo to the director, writers, and actors. The 3D took it over the edge to superb. Be sure to see it in your town's best theater so that you can experience all of its wonderful effects.

I have not seen the previous Underworlds but went to see this one with my husband. Pros: it was action packed. Cons: it was way too graphic... to many blood scenes...I mean extreme. So if ur stomach is weak, I wouldn't suggest it.

...in this most recent incarnation of the Vampire legend. Beckinsdale is always good in her role as the rebel vampiress but I just do not get the werewolf CGI. It's horrible! It always looks so cartoonish and fake. Semi-hairless werewolves that do not look wolf-like and really do not look menacing or frightening....they actually look sick .... like werewolves on chemotherapy. Between the awful werewolf visuals and a story that cuts too many corners I just cannot recommend Underworld Awakening 3D ....this, in spite of my proclivity to look favorably on horror/monster movies (I have a soft spot for them). A fang-shaped rhino horn down.

The newest installment of the Underworld series does not disappoint in its rollercoaster excitement, fast-paced photography and plot twists. Of course, the entire saga still revolves exclusively around Selene, who is both the driving force for the action and the recipient of all of the attacks. However, a new side to Selene is revealed, and Beckinsale does a good job of balancing the character in this new aspect. Plenty of action and very dramatic to see it in 3D!

I loved the previous 3 movies, this one is a quiet different. New directors, and it shows. Good special effects, but it wasn't the dark, deep story as in the previous movies. Guess they can't all be awesome. Still worth seeing, just disappointed they moved to more modern times.

I loved the previous three Underworld movies, and I enjoy the dystopian fantasy world that this and several other movies are set in. If you are an Underworld fan you will probably enjoy this fourth in the series, especially with the return of Kate Beckinsale. It combines elements of the previous movies with an almost Resident Evil and Matrix like elements and some cinematography that is more graphic novel like. It is graphic and violent, but that should not be surprising. It was a thoroughly enjoyable adrenaline inducing experience
