Ihave been a fan of Micheal Jackson since the Jackson 5 days. Going to this movie was a last chance to see his genius at work. During this movie I laughed and cried and sang songs along with the movie I am so happy to have had the chance to go with my children and grandchildren to enjoy and mourn an icon larger than life!!! We love you Michael and miss you and hope that everyone will get a chance to see this movie and pay tribute to the KING.

It was comforting to have Michael back just for a while. It felt like the real thing! I was singing his songs and wanted to stand up, clap and yell when after every each rehearsal, but then reality set back in. I tended to forget I was in a theater. It's surreal! Once again the media is proven wrong. This man was full of life, happy, and raring to go. A behind the scenes look at a musical genius trying to explain to mere mortals what he hears. Ever humble, polite, and giving, he says Bless You when corrected, tells others it is their time to shine, and tells everyone it's all for L.O.V.E. Love. Seen it 3 times and going back again and again. His long-time costume designers say Michael went full out for the last rehearsal. Let's hope it gets released. Michael left talented dancers half his age and with 30lbs more muscle to move with in the dust. Billie Jean will bring tears to your eyes and for someone claiming to be saving his voice, he sounded better than ever.

This was a fantastic movie!! I found myself saying WOW many times in the movie, the man had a vision and wanted more than anything to share it with those around him. He had a message for us all: to care and love each other, to take care of the environment...he was an utter genius in spreading this message via his craft. I don't know that any of the rest of us could have still cared so much about each other and the environment after all he had been through. We took a highly sensitive man who still had the innocence of a child and chewed him up and spit him out all because he was different. Rest In Peace Michael

I walked into the movie theater thinking of Michael Jackson as one of the greatest entertainers ever. After watching "This Is It", I think calling him "one of the greatest" is a gross understatement. Michael Jackson was simply the greatest entertainer to EVER walk this planet. He was far and away better than any artist this world has ever seen...I highly doubt that anyone would ever come close to this talent.
Even at the age of 50, he was bursting with energy and creativity. There really are no words that can explain how amazing he was (there was applause at least 10 different times throughout the movie...I've never seen that happen before)
It is a shame that he left us so soon. I urge every person who enjoys music to see this movie.

This movie should prove to everyone that Michael was healthy and happy at the time of his death. MJ was amazing. What s blessing to see the intelligence, the humor, the leadership, and the musical genious that was Michael. Who knew? We were always led to believe that Michael was this shy, quiet person who did not like to be around people. Now we know that even that was not true. I enjoyed every moment of the film. I left smiling. It did my heart good to see him and to know that he spent his last days doing what he was born to do. What a wonderful tribute to him and what a wonderful way for his parents, brothers, and children to remember him. We should all be so lucky.

If your intention is to see his genius at work, this will surpass anything you imagined. Michael Jackson knows how to command a stage in every sense of the phrase. If this tour actually took place, everyone who saw it would have gotten their money's worth and then some. You get to hear him speak of the planet and his personal thoughts on it. He directs the band on how to change things for maximum impact. The humor he has with his long time colleagues makes him relateable, how we act with those we know. When he said that he's most comfortable on stage, this showed it. He never lost "IT". The guy still had the magic that he was born with. Definitely a must see! God bless his soul!

There are not enough words to describe the creativity, skill, talent, LOVE, humbleness.............of this man. I actually went to this movie, not because I considered myself a huge Michael Jackson fan, but because my two daughters wanted to go, but I was extremely impressed. I think he was truly a man that may have been a little "different", but maybe that's what made him unique. He had so much love to give and was I believe, misunderstood and wrongly portrayed by the media, way too much. He must have been a tortured soul to have to defend so much nonsense his entire life, I don't know that any of us wouldn't have been "different", had we had to live his life. What an entertainer...

This is a good show for die hard MJ fans, who need a litle more of him. I had never seen him in concert, and with the excess crotch-grabbing, I doubt I would have enjoyed a live show. I'm glad I only paid $21 for my mother and I to see a partial concert, and not hundreds for a full concert.

From the beginning of 'This Is It' to the end, very end, this movie illustrates the work and passion of a man misunderstood by too many, adored but judged by a "public" that lost sight of the talented "king of pop". If you leave the theater without realizing this truth, you have watched a different movie! From intimate conversations with dancers to insider views of a performer's practice, you see and feel the "Michael effect". This movie captures that and the viewer. I don't know who benefits from profits from this film, and that concerns me. I would go see it again. After seeing it once, at 50, Michael Jackson's practice performances proved that he was a healthy man, too young to have died.

i thought this movie was absolutely unbeleiveable. I took my dad with me, and though he's not really a fan of MJ, he said he loved it too. I would deffinately recommend this movie to anyone, MJ fan or not. P.S.- I cried SO hard at the end of the movie. I guarentee you will too. :)

This movie was an all around hit. Produced well, excellent pictures throughout. If you did not know the genius of Michael Jackson before this movie, you will when you leave. From the beginning to the end you just could not take a break from this movie. Astonishingly good!

LOVED IT! I am really glad I saw it. If your a Michael Jackson Fan you must see this! He really put alot into his concerts because he wanted the "Fans" to have it all. This was a GREAT documentary/tribute to Michael Jackson. I highly recommend this movie.

I was mesmerized. Half way through the movie it dawned on me- that's right, "he's dead". I couldn't believe it...that was very surreal to me. He was incredibly kind and humble and that's how I've always remembered him and always will. With all the other dancers I could never take my eyes off Michael. It's interesting how they were all professionals dancers, yet they couldn't come anywhere close to how Michael was so fluid like, so graceful. Whether you're a fan or not, I highly recommend seeing this movie. It was astonishing brilliant and profound. My only (very small) gripe is I wished Kenny Ortega didn't talk to Michael as if he were a small child...but then maybe that's how Michael wanted to be treated.

Had this concert taken place it would have outdone his past concerts. This would have been his greatest yet. He was a genius and a great performer. yet he was humble and a very caring person. I actually became a MJ fan after he died and I heard his music. I have bought most of his DVD's and CD's and just got This Is It CD yesterday. Tonight, Oct 31, 2009, I went to see the movie. It was wonderful and I highly recommend it. Michael was a musical genius and the passion he puts into his music and dancing is just awesome! I'm going on line to order the This Is It DVD...
Go see it.. It is different from some of his other Performance DVD's, because these show MJ rehearsing and seeing what he puts into his music.
Michael has a voice given to him by God and Michael mentions God frequently...I know he is in Heaven singing with the Angels.
Great movie.
