With MJ's sad and untimely demise, at least fans are able to get a hint of just how spectacular his concert tour would have been. Very well put together and left me feeling so much compassion for all the production team members/artists who worked so hard on the show, never to be able to actually perform it in front of a live audience. You could well see their enjoyment of the process of working with Michael's genius. Definitely a movie not o be missed if you have any respect whatsoever for Michael's enormous talent.

It gives a great look into what MJ was like in rehearsal and how he worked with his team. His performances were brilliant, and he didn't look tired or weary or any indications that he was about to die. I felt a bittersweet melancholy watching this. The guy was a legend of my time, and this tour would have been a great triumph. MJ clearly still had a lot left in him.

I took my kids and husband to see 'This Is It' as a family outing and it was one of the best decisions I've made! Michael was truly amazing - and this was just rehearsal! I'm sad that my girls will never be able to witness live the wonder of his genius, but this is the next best thing! What an incredible movie - I highly recommend it.
It's scary to think that had Michael not passed away the world would not have been given the opportunity to see this amazing concert that originally would only have been enjoyed by so few.

Michael is the ultimate consummate performer! This movie is a testament to his legacy! Very well edited from several different rehearsals, it shows Michael as a perfectionist, wishing the very best out of his colleagues. Some of the footage is blurry which is annoying, someone forgot to check the focus on the wide view of the video camera. He has a somewhat eccentric taste in clothes, but his talent outshines all. It's hard not to tap your feet to his enthusiasm or sing along! This concert would have been amazing if it had been live! Michael has Gone Too Soon! We love you, Michael!

"Michael Jackson's This Is It" is worth seeing, especially for fans and those interested in the backstage effort required to prepare a world-class concert. Easily the best music concert documentary ever. Although Michael Jackson did not perform at full capability throughout the film, one gets a good taste of his abilities, and can confirm that, even at 50 years old, Michael's voice, body and vision was as strong as ever. If deciding between the large screen, or waiting for the DVD, I would wait for the DVD, as I am sure there will be numerous extras that will be worth seeing.

This was a great movie to show how Michael loved what he did, and loved us. How greatful he had it. Showed some compasion, stood his ground when a director or someone was thinking of doing something his way and Michael wanted it his way and got it. A great star is lost to us. I always loved Michael, and felt sorry for him when he lost his nose. But he was the same guy, quiet and shy. I never got to see him in concert, and wished I was able. It looked like he was going to have a great show. I wish the movie was longer, but with a break.

I can't stop thinking about what I saw last night. I even dreamed about him! I loved getting a glimpse of him behind the scenes. He is so cool, funny, and talented. He looked in great shape. I saw such a passionate, gentle, and kind man. I saw his musical genius. I can't believe so many people turned against him for so long and never really knew the REAL Michael Jackson until now. It's so tragic that it takes an awful loss like this for someone to be so appreciated. I'm just more sad than ever that he is gone. There are no real words to explain how brilliant and incredible this movie was. I really miss Michael and it's still hard to believe he is gone but this movie helps me to heal because seeing him creating, directing, DANCING and SINGING with his beautiful voice brought back those wonderful memories. I knew that I would like the movie in the first place but when I got there, I wanted to jump in the movie and dance with him. My daughter (4) went with me and she was singing every song. I can't wait to purchase this and anything else that comes out.

I highly recommend this movie to not only the multitude of fans Michael had throughout his career, but I mainly recommend this movie to those who were not his fans. This movie tells the truth and no one can walk out of the theater without saying they now know Michael. His compassion and giving spirit were evident in the way he dealt with everyone and everything. This project was possibly going to be the best concert experience of all time. I always belived in him and his talent, but after seeing this movie, I feel validated, knowing that he was, and always will remain the King.

With all the bad press around the untimely death of MJ, It was refreshing to see his performance stunningly strong and healthy. All the photography and music was superior. The movie took my breath away. It was more than a concert, It was a peek inside of the muscal genius that MJ was. Four of my friends went together to see it. All of us would see it again in a heartbeat. Bravo!

I knew that MJ had great talent but what this movie brings out is the immense compassion and care he had for those around him. He patiently asked for adjustments from his dancers/musicians with the utmost respect and encouragement. It also brought out what a detailed person he was with an ear for even the smallest differences in sound or action. For those who are waiting for the DVD or those who are on the fence about seeing it, I strongly encourage you to do so as AIG and the estate are adding a few more weeks to the theatre viewing of this movie. Don't delay...definitely worth your time and money!!!

We enjoyed this movie more than I can say in words. Michael was such a caring, loving soul and he is missed by all of us. He looked healthy, happy and concerned for this planet we are destroying. I'm so thankful to Kenny Ortega for making this movie for all his fans. Michael never forgot about his brothers and this movie was proof of that fact. I hope justice will prevail in the end for Michael.

This Is It is the real thing. While it plays like an homage to Michael Jackson it also does what it needed to do - show us a "fly on the wall" view of the highly gifted creator Michael Jackson ....behind the scenes. I've personally never been a big fan of his music but his dancing always caught my attention. Because of "This Is It" I have a new found respect for the artist and creator himself. Michael Jackson knew what he was doing when it came to entertainment. He knew how to get the most out of what he had. He likely would have made a fabulous movie director! Kudos to director Kenny Ortega and his crew! See it for the "his story" of it all.

I was dissappointed by this movie. The songs were good but definately not "outstanding". He spent most of his time walking back and forth across the stage. A few minor dance moves. Cast and crew were definately terrified of upsetting him or making him angry you could see by how they acted/reacted when near him. The song "This Is It" is not even heard until the credits roll at the end of the movie. Not one song performed in full dress rehearsal.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
