This movie, I can honestly say, is the best way to see him in his final days. While sitting in the theater, you forget that you are in the theater, therefore, each time after watching him perform you get the urge to clap. At least I did and a few others in the theater. It seems as if you are right there in the stadium while he was performing.
Overall the movie is wonderful. It really shows his perfectionist side of directing music. Also it is a tear jerker. I could not stop crying. Kenny Ortega really gave the fans what we asked for. That is the best way to allow the fans to see what Michael was off stage. HE WAS AND FOREVER WILL BE THE KING OF POP. ~R.I.P. MICHAEL YOU WILL BE LOVED AND MISSED FOREVER

AMAZING...if you want to understand the eccentric genius behind MJ, see this documentary. Kenny Ortega did a wonderful job allowing us in and watching MJ as he brought the pieces together for what would have been the most spectacular concert in music history. I loved This Is It. I never got to see Michael in concert so for me this was the next best thing. It follows the whole concert through the rehearsals, and tapings of the background movies. More than the music, I enjoyed watching his creative process. He entertained like most of us breath, without thinking, it just happened because he was Michael Jackson. Another candle that burned so brightly it burned out too soon.
I couldn't help but wonder at the shock felt by all those people ready to hit the road with Michael. My prayers go out to them that their outstanding talents will be recognized elsewhere and immediately. Every one of them seemed as dedicated as Michael.
I loved the man, I loved the movie. I'm very happy that we have it to remember him by.

This was an absolute MUST SEE. This movie gave a small glimpse of who MJ really was. The movie was a beautiful tribute to MJ and the life he led as a man. His celebrity status was his vehicle to do good for others. My 5 year old son and 7 year old nephew enjoyed every minute. A must see for all. Well, as a loyal MJ fan for 30 years (more than 1/2 my life!), this was no let-down! I'm a huge fan, so I would have enjoyed it had it not been so good - it was unbelievable! I never had, nor would I have ever had the opportunity to see this beautiful man perform live, so this was truly the next best thing for me. If only he hadn't passed so unexpectedly, I would still be hoping to somehow make his acquaintance - just to hear that voice in person, shake the hand of not only a legend, but one of the most giving and kind-hearted humans that ever graced this earth. I am heart-broken that he is no longer here, and will never forget what he has brought to my life - love, joy, and an overwhelming pride of the human spirit. RIP MJ

This movie exceeded my expectations. It was 97% singing and dancing and not a lot of talking. It was just right I learned about MJ as well as took a peek what the show would've been like. It was fabulous. You can really see Michael knew his music, and he had everything in his head the way he wanted it to be. He did nothing small. He was a perfectionist, and created an atmosphere that made all around him strive as well. I left off one star because this footage wasn't meant for this purpose. It didn't leave me with a "feeling" that I would have left with, had it been made with this purspose in mind.

Saying this movie was amazing doesn't even do it justice. We got to see a small glimpse of the pure genious of Michael Jackson. I have never seen a movie in theaters, that when it ended and the credits were rolling nobody moved, nobody rushed to the door, everyone just stayed in their seats, not wanting to leave. I could have watched this movie for hours and hours, Michael looked and sounded great. He obviously loved his music and knew exactly how he wanted this concert to be, he was a perfectionist. This is it was better than I expected. It had its highs and lows from feeling as if you were at an M.J. concert to the sorrowfulness of a final good bye. In spite of M.J.'s short comings and negative publicity; he was truly a great performer and entertainer. My 13 and 8 year old sons enjoyed it as well. It was a bit long for children (without scheduled bathroom breaks). If you love good quality music, this is it!

I truly enjoyed This is It. It showed a side of Michael Jackson seldom seen. He was humble, sincere, funny and very normal! It also showed his dedication to his craft, a genius and dedicated performer at work. What a shame to have lost him so early on and it made me wonder it the media really painted an inaccurate picture of him all these years. It made me sad to realize he was really gone and the pain and shock the performers in the movie must have felt when they received the news of his death, they ADORED him. I will defintely will see it again! Great for all ages. By the way, he looked totally HOT!

That osunds like a back-handed compliment, but I seriously wasn't expecting anything big from this doc. some parts were a little boring but it was AMAZINGGGGGGG. i think everyone who lovesss MJ should definatly watch it if u dont like him you'll probably get bored.

This movie showed how much of a profesional and attention to detail that he portrayed. This is not a biography, but you got to see how much really goes into putting on a good show. The music and dancing are great. It also seems like he treated his staff very well and with respect..
