What a gift to us all that they had as much footage as they did. The passion is palpable...from MJ, the singers, dancers, musicians. Kenny Ortega, the Director, was a wonderfully integral part of the passion felt by those of us in the audience.
Loved seeing the behind-the-scenes footage and how cleverly they wove it into a joyful celebration of the genius of Michael Jackson.
Opening with the enthusiasm of the dancers who got picked to be part of the concert series, and how excited they were to be going on tour created a fascinating juxtaposition of the joy of what they were doing, and the loss that not even one concert was performed. Very well done.

I would recommend this movie to everyone who every saw or heard MJ. You don't realize what really goes behind a show until you see this movie. MJ is so unbelievable. The man knew his stuff. It's a shame that all that talent is gone but his legend will live on. God bless him.. I would go see this movie again - it was excellent. My 9 year old has been fascinated by MJ since his death. I loved MJ when I was young too. My son was fascinated by the movie. Didn't speak through the whole thing. This shows why Michael Jackson was known as the King of Pop. He made everything he did to prepare for his last tour seem so effortless yet you could feel the passion for music jsut exuding from him. if u r a Michael Jackson fan, this movie is a must 2 c! I've been a fan since I can remember, really liking him in the 80's. Of course I wanted 2 cry thru the whole thing just knowin he's gone. When I heard that Michael was only going to be doing London shows, I was quite disappointed. It had been 25 years since the last time I saw him live. Seeing "This is It" was not the same as seeing him live (god I wish he was still ALIVE), but the documentary was simply fantastic. It felt like closure to me as well. I really needed that, as I have had such a hard time dealing with his sudden death. It really felt like I was at THE SHOW, or atleast I could picture (and hear) what it would have sounded like. Great job Michael. Your spirit and love of music will always live within my heart.

This movie truly lived up to the hype. I laughed, I cried, I clapped to the music, I clapped after each song he performed, I danced in my seat, I sang along with the songs...as did the audience. Michael's talent ran deep - it's what made him who he was...the King of Pop - and it was great to see his creative juices as he worked to put together what would have been the most outstanding concert tour EVER! A must see! I found myself consumed and amazed by Michael's performance, spirit, and talent. I was completely overwhelmed and hypnotized by his charisma and superb moves. I enjoyed every minute as I found myself holding on to every second trying to absorb and engrave as much as I could of Michael's last performance in my memory, heart and soul. This Is It was more than I expected it to be. Not only did I go to tha advance midnight showin, I also went back on Halloween and took my kids! I was amazed at how well Mike could still move and it was good to hear him singin live most of the time. You get to hear him talk and see a bit of his personality, tha Mike no one wanted to admit was there. I've always loved him, always will and this movie showed me I could love him a lil more. Micheal Jacksons This is It was it for me this was a wonderful film and it made me laugh and cry, I have always admired Micheal for his talent but this felt like I was right there with his dancers watching a concert. Hats Off Micheal enjoy your wonderful peaceful journey.

My son and I really enjoyed the movie. It was a little emotional for me because I am a very huge MJ fan. And since his passing I really feel like he was a close family member to me. And to see him in the movie so active and vibrant it just got to me. But other than that go out and see the movie it's truly and a good one.

The direction and editing of the rehearsals were excellent. It definitely showed how talented Michael was. After viewing this movie I have a great appreciation for MJ's talent and his relationship with the cast. I was mostly impressed with Kenny Ortega's manner of communicating with MJ as well as the other principals( Choregraphers, associates, etc). Ortega is FANTASTIC. I look forward to seeing more of his work. Michael was in RARE FORM during those days. No signs of exhaustion. He will truly be missed. Thank you for sharing these final days with the world. The world would not have been able to see his live performance but with this movie, we can say and experience the feeling of how it would have been.

It was very well put together. It showed Michael Jackson the way he truly was. A most humble, kind and amazing person not to mention healthy and full of energy. I will definitely see this movie again and again and again. This Is It will make you cry, laugh, smile and want to dance. In fact, it makes you forget you're at the theater and not in a concert. My hat's off to Kenny Ortega for such an accurate portrayal of the King!
