I Loved this movie. I laugh, cried, sang and danced at the same time. It was a gift watching Michael giving us his best, his love and sharing his created visions. The new versions of Smooth Criminal &Thriller, were electrifying. He not only interacted with his performers but, with us too. The movie was superb, it revealed just what a perfectionist and great artist Michael Jackson was...in fact he was such a perfectionist...I sincerely doubt we would have seen any of his rehearsal footage if he had lived...and Kenny Ortega captured moments that gave us insight of Michael the man as he wokred with dancers, singers, and musicians...I loved the movie!!

I went in to this movie worried that it was gonna be cheesy and nothing but an attempt by the Jacksons and his lawyers to capitalize on his name.
I was pleasantly surprised. The movie never talks about his life or his death. Just the concert that never happened. What a great movie! I cant wait till it is out on Blu-Ray.......I will watch it again and again and again.

We bought our tichets on 09/27/2009 for the 10/27/2009 Showing!! My husband and I went last night at the 11pm ahowing, not a sold out theater but it was better than that we didnt have all the noise of a packed theatre! What an amazing performer. He had his hand in every piece of the production. The skills he possessed were over the top. It is so unfortunate that so much work went into this performance and no one will ever see it as he imagined it. The movie did a phenomenal job of capturing what it could though. This footage of Michael Jackson's last days was many things. It gave us a peek at the musical genius that he was and the creative force he was to be reckoned with. There are times when you see him surrounded by a bunch of people who know nothing of his work but would do anything to be a part of it. Kenny Ortega comes off as the proverbial ringmaster/puppetmaster. This is a great documentary to refute the claims that MJ was weak and not able to perform. The practice pieces were just that and leave one with the thought that tis was either going to be a brilliant performance or a train wreck. It was tasteful that they never mentioned his death or gave some morbid statement at the end.

I loved this movie; MJ showed the real side of his personality, one that was so likable. I saw it last night and can't stop thinking about it and am already planning when I'll see it again.
Kenny Ortega did a fabulous job...I was smiling and sad at the same time. The amount of work and obvious love that went into making this showed from beginning to end.
The two hour movie passed in a flash, ended way too soon.
He was definitely unique and his whole being was the music as it came right from his soul and it was as his pulse was the beat.
He also looked very good, healthy and strong and hard to believe he was a drug user.

I loved the film, it was filled with great staging and wonderful special effects. Michael sounded great, there were some moments where he was little off, but that really didn't matter much. The dancers were great and he moved very well too. There were some humor filled moments, which I think were great for his diehard fans, like myself. I did not cry during the film, instead I laughed, sang and clapped. It was truly a nice experience for any MJ fan. I plan to see it again tonight and this weekend on IMAX.

I was among the first group of extremely lucky viewers, to see "This Is It" on October 27, 2009, at The Rave, in Las Vegas. It was one of the most amazing and touching performances I have ever witnessed. Michael Jackson was still "Michael Jackson", that we all knew and loved. Michael's footwork and movements were "BAD". This movie was amazing! It had you crying, laughing, clapping, singing all in one. It was amazing to see everything that was going to go into this concert, it was a $10/$12 concert to see MJ. There is NO such a thing as a stunt double, it is all him. I am assume this movie was made with his Estates permission & with is company, so any proceeds will go to his family. Well worth it! I found the movie to be awesome-all I thought was that footage was taken days before he passed. I teared up on a few occasions knowing that "this was it" we lost a wonderfully talented man too soon. There will never be another Michael Jackson. He was totally an original. His dance moves were WOW!! One thing I noticed the audience was so silent for the most part and actually broke out in applause like it was a live performance when it would fade to black between scenes. Awesome!!!

This movie is by far the best one that I have ever watched.Everyone did a wonderful job producing this.Michael Jackson was absolutely on top of his game. I will definitely see this one again!!!!!!!!!!!

This movie clued the viewer into what it is that makes a singer an entertainer. After watching this movie I now know what it is to have the not too common X-Factor that not all entertainers have. To be able to witness an artist in the midst of creating is a treat that we rarely see. It was a musical journey through a career retrospective and never feeling that I have seen or heard this before because it was truly fresh. Not a movie to be missed.
