This movie was such an inspiration for my entire family who went to go watch it on opening night. We left there with a sense of wanting to do more for our country and more for one another. In this movie you learn the personal side of Michael, the one the media tried to hide from the world. This movie is AMAZING!!!! Not only do you see Michael as an AWESOME singer, dancer, producer, but you see how he interacts with people to make this concert UNBELIEVABLE!! Michael knows how he wants things and he knows how to get it by treating people with such respect and kindness. He is a GENIUS!! "This Is It" is the best concert film ever made. The fact that the subject was Michael Jackson was obviously a bonus. The creative forces who edited over 100 hours of footage did an amazing job. I'm glad MJ lived long enough for us to see what could have been and, for that matter, what actually was at the time of his death.

I went into this experience not expecting much. I figured what could a few cameras have really captured as it wasn't going to be for broadcast but for MJ's personal library. I was shocked to see the amazing footage they captured. It was a wonderful look into the behind the scenes dealings of how talented and musically gifted MJ was. It was also amazing to see just how lucid and together he was. The media's painted a very tainted picture of a drug addicted tortured soul who didn't sleep and was in constant pain. This film showed how together he was. I knew the music industry and the world suffered a great loss but after seeing This Is It, it is clear to me just how large of a loss it is. Michael is a legend and will be missed for a lifetime.

This movie was everything I expected and more. I had goose bumps throughout the whole movie. I grew up listening to Michael Jackson and the songs he performed in the movie brought back so many memories. This movie portrayed Michael for the musical genius that he was. What can I say but wow, what amazing talent he had. What I also loved about the movie was how it showed Michael's loving and caring side, what a caring individual he was. The movie also showed the amazing talents of the musicians, dancers, producers, etc. Michael's concert would have definitely brought back to the top, no doubt. Great movie for MJ's fans! Seeing him strong, alert and so professional makes me miss him even more, but also provided some much-needed closure. It was good to see the backup singers and dancers who just revered him and I know they must still be hurting. MJ was magic and this film captured it. Be prepared to cry!
I cried when he started singing the J5 song "I'll Be There and sobbed at the end, but then I yelled out I Love You Michael and half-expected to hear him say back in that sweet voice: I love you too!
We miss you so much...

Well, well, well, Here is something that the outsiders can see what goes on behind the seen. Some people think that is easy getting out there on stage. It is not. It takes hard work. If you want a good show it can not be thrown together. It has to be perfected. A true musician knows that. And THAT HE IS. Him being 50 years old at the time would give a 25 year old a hard time in dancing. It is to bad and so sad that the truth came out when he died. It is good that the media is giving him good reports NOW. Can HE smell the flowers? I am not quite sure if would have wanted this published if he were here, because he had not perfected it. That is why he had them film it, so he could look it.. To us on the outside it was such brillance.

I've always loved Michael Jackson, but being able to see him in his element was so touching. Michael appears to be very healthy when you consider he was fifty years old at the time of the filming. He moves well, he sings beautifully and he is in control! I found myself laughing with Michael as he joked and dancing when he really got into his music. These were some exciting rehearsals and he was/is definitely the king!

I loved this movie, it was like he was performing a concert and like he never left the stage, we got to see the funny side of Michael, his professional, perfectionist side and the true great entertainer that he is/was. It was awesome!! And the way they had it staged was just fantastic! The Smooth Criminal Sequence with Michael in an old movie with Bogart was just fabulous. I can tell that Michael was a sweet, loving, compassionate, and funny person. This documentary is probably one of the best movies I have seen all year. This was evident by the way we (the audience) was giving thunderous applause after each song and dance. I recommend everyone to see this movie, you are gonna love it!!!

The best movie I have ever seen. Have seen Michael Jackson in concert several times and it was like being at another concert. People were dancing and singing and clapping in the theatre. For almost 2 hours people of all races were together having an incredible time watching the King of Pop. He alway knew how to bring people together and to show them a great time. I was 7yo when I saw MJ in concert for the Victory tour here in Chicago. Being so young I can still remember how fantastic the show was so I knew this movie would be the same. Sitting in the theater with my two daughters I felt like I was at his concert. My little 3 yo even started dancing when some of his songs were on the screen. I'm so glad that I got a chance to see this movie. I saw a side of MJ that I had no idea existed. It was unscripted and that is when you can best capture the essence of an individual. I saw him laugh, work, demands better, I saw the respect and I saw his strive for perfection. He is indeed a true artist and very good at his gift. There is love in this movie and not one small speck of judgment. Love u MJ rip!

Amazing movie and it shows the true Michael Jackson. What a God given talent he had and one I will miss. Kenny Ortega did a masterful job of putting together the resersals so we could all see Michael again. I started watching Michael Jackson as part of the Jackson 5 and followed through to his solo career. I hope this is not the last movie we see from the rehearsal clips. I too was moved to tears and very sad we lost Michael. 'GONE TOO SOON'!!

My wife and I thought this was an excellent film that enabled us to get a closeup view of MJ the professional and not the terrible rumors of his past. You can see that he was sincerely caring of the world. Thank you Jackson family it has helped bring closure to our sorrow with his loss. 5 Stars

This is one of the GREATEST experiences I have EVER had in seeing a movie. Michael was a sheer genius. We should all be blessed to ever have been able to know of his existence. He was sincere, kind and gracious, unlike the so-called individuals and groups out today. That movie allowed me to feel as if I was actually there. His concert was definately going to be nothing short of a phenonmenon!!! It was going to be BRILLIANTLY OUTSTANDING!!!! I will be one of the 1st to purchase this once it comes out on DVD. Please go & see it. You will be amazed!!!!!! Only he alone deserves the tile of POP icon.
