Even if you're not a big Michael Jackson fan... go see this! You'll never have a chance to watch (albeit in a very edited fashion) what it really, really takes to make "magic" in a live performance of this magnitude. The movie is 2 hours long. And you have to wonder.... how the heck was this frail man going to make it through 50 performances of a non-stop, super- high energy mega-show? It's incredible. If you're a movie aficionado, you'll catch places where it seems clear Michael's voice was "sweetened" in post-production. We'll never know the real story. And I left feeling very sad that this really was "it."

This movie was done very well considering the short time in which it was made. It was interesting to see Michael at work behind the scenes, and not just in the spotlight. But even when he was with just his co-workers, he always seemed to be in the spotlight. Everyone around him was constantly worshiping him. Especially the director, who seemed more like a caricature than a real person. But I also thought that everyone involved in the production was incredibly talented and hard-working. It is a good movie to see if you are thinking about getting into show business.

I absolutely loved this! My husband wasn't that happy about going to this movie, but once he saw what a genius MJ was and his devotion to his work, my husband changed his mind and now would pay to see it again. My husband kept saying over and over, it's a shame that this couldn't have gone to live concert. It would have been the greatest concert in our lifetime. I was in heaven listening and watching the King of Pop. RIP Michael---

It is truly a blessing to be able to get a small glimpse into the life of the King of Pop and see just what a magical person he was. This movie gained a new respect from me for him. I loved him before and I respected his music before, but I never realized just how hard he worked and how loving he was to all the people who bent over backwards to make his show's spectacular. The only bad thing about this movie is: you wish you didn't have to be watching the movie, but instead the live show. It's a shame that he wasn't able to fulfill his dream of a comeback tour, for it would have been the best.

Brilliant man. Excellant documentary. I would like to see the 100 hours of it all! So sad that this man's life was cut so short. I have always been a fan of MJ. The entire documentary was just AMAZING and I will be seeing it again.

What a nice movie! I miss nice movies! It was a feel good movie that I could watch again and again. Michael works from his spirit inside of him and serves as example on how it is possible to be a nice person. Please don't take the word "nice" as something small and simple. This was a remarkable look at Michael Jackson, not only does this show the gift Michael had it also shows his undeniable love for his music. If you are a Michael Jackson fan this is a must, see. So sad that Michael didn't get the opportunity to share this concert with his fans, it would have been one of those once in a lifetime events. I think this would of been the thing Michael needed to relaunch his career. The world lost out on what I believe (from what I saw) would have been an awesome show. The special effects the mix of old & new clips. While I loved the original Triller the additional cinematogrify special effects would of made that a mega hit all over.

I saw the film the first night. It was good. You saw a guy that was soft spoken, easy to work with, pure of soul. He took everything personal whether it directly affected him or not. A deep individual who wanted to make the world a better place because he felt he not grow up in a good place. He sang without music and his voice was everything it's always been. His dancing was unreal. He danced with kids 30 years his age and matched every step. He directed every move and every note. A music genuis. If you have not seen the film DO IT. it's your last chance because "This Is It"!

This was just another remarkable movie to depict the genius in Michael Jackson. I enjoy the movie so much, the world truly has lost out on such a inspiration. Being a dancer, I love the way it showed the sacrifice and how hard they worked. But, most of all it me a chance to say good-bye to a member of my family. I grew up with Jackson 5, and Michael so needless to say his music plays on in my house, my kids hearts forever. Michael we love you and will truly miss your presence on Earth. I have never taken the time to review movies before, but this is worth it. I am so glad I went. My 13 yr old son really enjoyed seeing M J on the big screen and learned alot about how hard it is to create a concert that may last only a few hours. So well done with the way they pieced together the footage. And getting to know the dancers. By the end I felt like I was on stage with them and they were all my friends. The beginning was a little slow and awkward which is why I gave it a 4. We got there the recommended 30 min prior and not even half of the theater was filled. Oh, and very strange how I am 50 and was the YOUNGEST one there. We were actually wondering if we were in the right movie.

I wasn't ever thinking about attending a Michael Jackson concert , even though I am a fan, but after watching this movie I can say that I am very sad that I will never get the chance to see Michael in concert. Besides being one of the best dancers and performers around, it was obvious from the movie what a genuius he was. He just wasn't a singer and dancer, this show was his vision of how to present his songs and ideals. I was thinking about all the dancers who travelled from around the world and this was their big break and then it was gone. Anyhow, this is a great movie which really captures the essence of Michael Jackson- the person and the performer.

Growing up with the J5 and then watching MJ grow into the Miracle that he was, and will remain. This was yet another remarkable look at the Man; that so many tried to put down but he remained brilliant right to the very end. Michael Jackson's This is it tour would have been Phenomenal! Unfortunately for us, we were only given this last piece of the Phenomenon we knew as Michael Jackson (The King of Pop) This movie was one of the best pieces I have seen in a very long time, Praise to Kenny Ortega for putting this together. R.I.P. Michael you will never be forgotten. Thank you for all you have given and shown us. People go see this movie on the big screen! You will regret not doing so it is fabulous! 10 stars!! It was very exciting to see Michael Jackson dancing and singing for such a long time. The movie was very well done, with pieces about his dancers, and a lot of the rehearsal footage. The editing of the pieces was so exquisite since they were piecing snippets of songs together to get his best performances from several different rehearsals. Amazing work! Seamless to my untrained ear and eye. I saw it on a Friday night thinking I might get a little sleepy since I worked that day. I was so captured by the images and music that I was completely engrossed from beginning to end. I highly recommend the movie.

This movie truly depicts Michael Jackson's genius. His detail to everything from the dance moves, dancers, and the music was unbelievable. Such a huge loss to the music industry! I love, love, loved the movie but only wish I could have seen my music Hero alive on stage performing this wonderful comeback tour. MICHAEL WE WILL AND DO ALREADY MISS YOU.

"This Is It" gave me an opportunity to help my 14-year-old son understand why I cried when I heard MJ was dead. The movie is not only an up-close look at Michael Jackson's extraordinary talent, but if you look close, you will get a glimpse of his soul. I do not blame him for his death, even though he was the one out of control. I blame the bloodsuckers who were sticking out of his rear end :-(

Very interesting look into how this icon put together a work of art. Even when giving criticism, Michael always followed it up with a loving word. Very humble, very intensely dedicated to the music and to the fans. Sadly, I was already starting to forget all the magic he has given us. This movie reminded me again how much he changed the face of pop music.
