This WAS just what we needed in order to appreciate the genius of this great entertainer. It is too bad that he wasn't around to see it with us. This movie removed the shroud of negative media publicity that surrounded MJ during his lifetime and replaced it with a blanket of new appreciation for a great artist and his craft. I recommend this movie to everyone; fan, skeptic, and enemy of the multi-talented artist called Michael Jackson. The movie left us with happiness, honesty, and HOPE. This WAS IT!

I wanted to see this movie out of pure curiosity as to just 'who' this man really was. While I am a fan of Michael Jackson's music, I was exceedingly impressed with the concert footage and seeing Michael Jackson in his element. He is outstanding!!!! Quirkiness aside, this was an EXCELLENT depiction of a true professional and his talent will be missed.

It was done very tasteful, MJ seemed to be working the stage, and he still had his moves. He even added more to his work, the music was great, the dancing, and just to see him for the last time at what he loved. WOW!!!!!. You just can't get enough of him. The Thiller remake I hope it will come out as a new video unbelievable!!. Please everyone should see the master at his final work. Now you know why he was the King of Pop.

Kenny Ortega and staff did this film proud. I commend Mr Ortega for keeping reference to Michael's death out of it. This film captures Michael the artist and Michael the perfectionist. Michael controlled every move, every note, every nuance of his performance. It's rare to see that kind of focus. It saddens me that we will never see the finished "This Is It" product as Michael intended us to see it. I will say that he looked too frail at times and I have to wonder if he could have lasted 50 performances....then again has Michael ever failed at anything when it came to his music, his performances and his fans? How lucky for us that we lived in the time of Michael Jackson. There will never be one like him again.

Truly enjoyed the movie, as did my tween son. I cried through the first quarter of it. The thought of such a great talent leaving us so soon was so sad to me. I was also amazed at Michael's humble, loving and sweet demeanor. He appears so young, healthy and full of life. The movie made it very apparent to me people idolized Michael to an extreme which I could see playing a big part of how he died. If you like Michael or his music you'll enjoy the inside look at the show, the cast and the man!

Great movie that I recomment to anyone of any age. It was sad to see and realize what a tremoundous gift we lost. I loved seeing MJ in his element and how he was so loving and always composed even when you could see he was frustrated. GREAT movie. Shows the side of Michael Jackson that I knew existed but was never put out there by the media. He truely is one of a kind. I walked out loving him more than I did going in. What a tragedy - he could have tought us so much more about loving eachother and the planet we live on. The one thing I missed in the movie was the moon walk during Billie Jean. Overall it was a great tribute to the King of Pop and it would have been an amazing concert, I am devasted that he is gone but with this movie we will always know who he was. True- this unvarnished movie may not be something MJ would want to show the world yet I feel it is completely worthwhile, revealing a professional "behind the scenes" side that eluded fans and showcased the talented cast who were let down after all the hard work.
His encouraging interactions with crew & talent show his instinctive & communicative nature - to help them push their own boundaries. I hope to see "MJ Cirque du Soleil" in the future - with this cast.
Lastly, pleased this was not "memoriam" laden film- watching the funeral on the web was sad enough; The enhanced focus on environmental issues was a clincher. Perhaps his spirit will continue to be a force of influence on improving these issues from beyond our living world.

I absolutely loved the movie. It was well put together and made me feel as if I could really dance like Michael. I couldn't stop bobbing my head and snapping my fingers to all of the songs. When Michael Jackson enters the stage dancing in a silver coat, skinny orange jeans, and a turquoise T-shirt with gold lettering, it was as if he never left us. The movie also catches personal moments when he is leading the band. He is always gentle & kind, but clearly in charge. There are "Chorus Line" moments when you see the phenomenal dancers & musicians try out.
You see an entire concert, with shots of MJ from different rehearsals. Editing is perfect. There's a poignant duet where he really lets loose with a female singer, Judith.

Great production, we actually sang and at times danced in our seats. MJ was truly a genius as an artist. What a great concert that would have been!...he left us too early. My 8 and 10 year old boys actually admitted after the movie that they teared up at times. They were soooo moved by the the Earth Song video that they are now inspired to do what they can to help maintain this planet we live on. We will all go back and see it again, this time we are taking my husband, even though he was never a big fan, he is now intrigued from our reactions and I know he will like this movie and appreciate the talent; as will anyone who goes to see it.

Good movie. A lot goes into getting ready for a show like this. I found it interesting to get a glimpse. MJ was amazing. 50's and dancing around like a 16 year old. Energy is just amazing. His personality really comes out. Found it sad to see all the other people that were involved in the show and so excited about it and yet now they never had a chance to shin on the real live stage. It would have been a great show. I'm really glad they put this movie together and let us enjoy it and to give all those other people the credit they deserved for all the work they did. My husband came only because I wanted to go but he ended up being really impressed and enjoyed the show.

It was more than I ever thought it would be, I was impressed with the whole movie, I could not sit still in my seat, What a fabulous way to tribute MJ and when its over you really are left saying this is it?

This was a fantastic movie!!!! Seeing Michael doing what he does best was wonderful!! And being able to see him doing behind the scenes work was amazing! What talent!! His talent is as amazing now as it was when he was young, and it's so sad that we won't be able to enjoy the gift of his concert that he wanted to share with us!!

I felt like I was at his concert, only I missed out on seeing his wardrobe, which sounds like it would have been as great as the concert itself. MJ will surely be missed!
