If you are not a hard core MJ fan or an aspiring artists, you should probably wait to see this on dvd. Going into it, you have to remember that this is rehearsal footage, not actual concert footage. MJ is as always BRILLIANT. The showcase of his vocal talent alone is bewildering. The added scenes for Thriller are fantastic. There is a lot of stuff that fans will miss out on as far as performances, but the stuff that they show is amazing. Just to watch this 50 year old man dance (though he has obviously aged) is mind blowing. He still had IT until the end. And the selection of musicians and dancers he had is fantastic. Orinthia P the guitar player is the next big thing. She is worth checking out.

This movie is definitely for those who were fans of his music. It was so amazing to watch the time and effort that went into the This is It show. You can tell that he was absolutely passionate about his music and what it could bring to the people of the world. He cared deeply also for his fans. He definitely did not know how to give anything less than 150%. I was never lucky enough to see him in concert, but this allowed me to see a glimpse of what it may have been if I had.

I absolutely loved it. I have only seen the final products of anything he made, never in the making. I always knew he was a music genius, however, watching him in the moment of the making....leading so humbly........it was amazing. I laughed, and cried. How very SAD it is to know that the world will never see the brilliance of Michael Jackson on a stage again. This movie is a GIFT to us!
Anyone who ever doubted the brilliance of MJ should sit in a theater and watch the reaction of the audience. For a man to rehearse at maybe 60% of full-throttle to be able to mesmerize FROM A SCREEN, is purely amazing!
Genius aside, I think what stuck with me the most is the kind, gentle spirit of the man. He was truly a special person!

I loved seeing this compliation of MJ's Concert Rehersals. I just wish that it went a little more in depth with some interviews with the dancers and producers after the news that MJ was goone. I think that would have also paid a nice tribue to the greatest artist in such a long time. Bert

I absolutely loved the documentary, the minute it comes out on DVD if it does i will be one of the first to get. It showed me a Michael I never knew. He was so professional and couteous to every one he worked with on the rehearsal. He is truly missed and the King of Pop. I just don't understand why the say he was in such bad shape, he looked fine to me, other then on one occasion I thought he looked a little tired, so i chalked it up to him working his best and hardest.

An unbelievably good movie! I laughed, i rejoiced, i cried, i cried. Forget all the tabloid remarks and the critics and the media. This movie reveals the real Michael Jackson. See for yourself what a beautiful spirit he was. It's ashamed that the good in him was never celebrated. We need more humanitatians in the world like MJ. The highest overall rating is 5 stars, but it deserves 10. I saw this movie with my 2 sons, ages 12 & 19. It was absolutely amazing! It took us through a range of emotions and we were in awe of Michael's talent and command of every aspect involved in the show. I wept at the sadness of losing him but felt proud of growing up in the era that was Michael Jackson. My family and I are huge fans of Michael but had never seen this side of him. I would encourage people of all ages to see this movie because it brings back into the forefront what a huge talent he was and the impact he had on music for all ages. The world has lost a true genius and master of his craft. I plan to see this movie again and will purchase it on DVD.

What I took home with me was a sheer amazment for how respected this man was by everyone working for him. They WANTED to please him. He was so in control of everything & everyone. He was serious and an unbelieavable perfectionist! But he had everyone's respect. When things went wrong or people weren't getting it right, he conveyed his disapointment, told them EXACTLY how to correct the problem & they did it, happily. God, he was so talented! My 5 yr old son danced in the isle for the whole movie! (I danced in my seat) couldn't help it!!! I loved this movie.

I'm a musician and have always been inspired by MJ . Seeing this film was an amazing insight into some of his creative genius. The candid shots of him working things out with dancing or stops and with the music coordinator gave glimpses of him never really seen. i thank the Jackson family and company for sharing with the public these precious moments of the king.

This was such a honorable film to show Michael's fans just how much he loved them and what he had planned for them! It also showed the world that this entertainer was simply a genius in the art of his craft. This was an amazing look into the genius of Micheal Jackson (MJ). As spectators/fans we don't realize how much an artist prepares for the final presentation. MJ gave direction with so much care, concern and love for those he was working with. You could tell that everyone who worked with him was thankful for the opportunity and really enjoyed the experience. The level of respect for MJ shined through without him having to command it. I recommend that everyone see this presentation on the big screen. I absolutely loved this movie. MJ was definitely the King of Pop. The choreography, sets and music were fabulous. I felt as if I was at the actual concert and was very sad when the movie ended. MJ's love for the planet and the world is such a huge key point in his life as was his detail and intense passion for his music and dancing. This would have been the show of all shows! I love you MJ. You will be forever missed!

I loved this documentary! This validates that Micheal's talent is extraordinary. No one can compare with his creativity, showmanship... My 4 year old granddaughter is still talking about the movie. He is great and truly the King of Pop. Sad that he died too soon!

This Is It seems more like a humble tribute to a musical genius, and I cannot wait for the DVD to watch this again and again. He knows every note, every steps, every melody, and then he takes it to the next level. A musician such as Michael Jackson does not exist today.
He does everything with perfection, and he settles for nothing less. In You will see the admiration in everyone's face - the dancers, the musicians, the producer, and the crowd in the movie theater.
Throughout the 2 hours, you will feel gracious that you lived to hear such a musical legend, sorry that he is gone so long, and grateful that he had the foresight to record sessions.
This Is It is worth the price of admission and so much more!!!

It felt as though MJ was singing right to me! [.tears.] I was dancing, singing(the entire time), and overall enjoying every single second of this forever unforgettable movie. MJ was funny - energetic - warm - so full of life! He was such a wonderful people person & inspiration to many! I left crying. Every scene was 100% awesome! Some parts left me breathless. I definitely recommend this movie - I will be going back before the end of 2 weeks!

You have to see this movie. Absolutlely amazing. He was preparing the most wonderful show. I liked him, now I'm a fan...I discovered an other side of him. A Loving human person. I was sad in this empty theater room... why is that ? he really deserve more.... I will go again,, and I will go with my kids this time.
