I had high expectations from the movie after seeing rave reviews from media. It turned out to be an average movie. SRK acts well but you can't ignore resemblance to Hoffman in Rainman and Hanks in Forrest Gump. Boy who played Khan in slums acted better than SRK himself. There was more chemistry in that boy and his mother Zareena Wahab than between SRK and Kajol. Specially the scene where Zareena takes him to a Parsi named Wadia and the boy explain Wadia history. Kajol overacts. The character is not well established and she doesn't do justice either. The Georgia hurricane scenes were really melodramatic. Scene with President Obama should have been the highlight of the movie. It fell flat. Overall, does not live up to the hype.

SRK has miserably failed impressing me in this movie. The movie has no memorable dialogs, songs, scenery, etc. The only message that he delivered is that Moslim people are not terrorists. Kajol was given a very limited role and did not shine - and she did not look appealing without makeup.
This movie has not provided any entertainment and is really serious movie. Do not recommend to waste time on this movie.

I took my wife to this movie because she liked these two actors. First of all there was not enough seats and we stood in the back than movie was so boring at times that you just want to walk out. It looked like a third world movie where there is no need of reality.

I was disappointed. SRK could not deliver a good performance as an actor, the SRK mannerisms popped out from the role several times when he has to deliver a punch line.
Karan Johar made it more melodramtic -- there are other movies like New York that adressed the terroris topic much better
I would not be surprised if he wins the. Best Actor awards for this movie in 2010.

this is by far the best work of SRK and Kajol 2gether. SRk is at his career best performance and Kajol is simply amazing. This is perfectly made movie by KJo team. First time I have watched a Bollywood film in the theater (I have seen a couple on DVD/TV before). Not a typical bollywood flick for sure. Much more substance, attempts to tackle serious issues and has a good message. Definitely recommend to everyone to go see it and support it! I hope it does well in India.

I was born and riased in NY, never been to India or seen any Indian movies, some how this peculiar name "My Name is Khan" draged me to see this move, and boy did I like it.
I was expecting this to be a James Bond action kind of a film, remember My Name is Bond, James Bond? But my God, I was so thrilled to realize what real movies can be.
One of the best movies we have ever seen. The main characters were superb, this kid Shah Rukh Khan and the young lady Kajol did their stuff well. Very realistic performance and a very well made film.
I encouraged my family and friends at work to go see this film at least once.
We plan to go back again when the rush subsides. This film is a collector's item.

Three words. Best Movie. Ever. Yeah, there are a lot of 9/11 movies out there. But this one doesn't just focus on the violence but a lesson that can be applied not only to Islam but every religion; that the actions of one individual should not create a bias for the others. Hilarious and inspiring. Whoever doesn't give this movie a good rating does not understand the message. Sharukh Khan was amazing, as always. =) Must watch it. Worth the time and money.

Mr Shahrukh Khan, the actor, again proves why he is a king of bollywood entertainment.. this movie is excellent in the first half but becomes a tad preachy in second half and has some thoughtful advice and lessons for the societies and community at large..this is very timely and should go a long way in removing the hatred and discrimination fervors from the 'most of us'..so, so be very clear that you cannot label a section of mankind based on a small sample of 5-20 people.. go and watch it for the wonderful chemistry (may be for the last time) between Mr Khan and Ms Kajol Devgan..its fire crackers.

It's very unrealistic, bad timing, stale, post 9/11 theme ought to be within a year of 9/11, we don't see Muslim riots in this country (USA) at this time besides portraying one man as the savior of the World ...Man from India is very stale and doesn't vibe well. SRK 's acting is commendable as usual other than that our Bollywood Producers have done a very bad job in wooing the Western Audience, you can either please the local indigenous population in India or the Indians abroad, trying to please them both is the result what you see in this movie. Highly hyped movie with powerful actors, My name is Khan, leaves one after watching it greatly disappointed. The first half of the movie is plane boring, and if it were not a movie by Karan Johar, many people would leave the theater. The second half is also marred by poor script.. The story is unconvincing and unimpressive. The best part of the movie is the superb acting by Kajol Devgan. She shines in the movie and givese a remarkable performance. Sharu Khan is a great disappointment simply because one expects from a lot. If you are a diehard fan of Sharu Khan, go see it. But do not go with very high expectations.

This is an amazingly well made movie with a great story, wonderful cast and awesome acting. The way it deals with the sensitive issues, being serious yet funny/witty is what makes this movie a must watch.
For SRK-Kajol fans especially, this a MUST MUST watch!!!!!!
In a nutshell, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
