The movie is a feel-good masterpiece. It accurately captures a moment in American history. I think people will look at this 20 or 30 years from now, and get an accurate understanding of being Muslim in America after 9/11. Beyond that, it's amazing with the subject matter that it could be uplifting, and have a positive message. As a Muslim in America, this reminds me of my truth before 9/11, and my humanity. Too often, the media denies or distorts this. This movie needed to be made.

this movie is not your typical bollywood love story but it tells us the story of a man who will do anything to fulfill his promise made to his family and the fact that he is muslim and has a syndrome that nobody can explain he still goes on. this educates alot of us who do not know how to differenciate between cultures and also about ppl who seem like they are mad or crazy but the fact of the matter is that we are so blinded by critisizing others we forget wat other ppl are going through "my name is khan and i am not a terrorist"

This movie is a portrayal of muslims living in USA and for once it gives them a good name, other than other indian movies in previous years. No wonder why it's been banned in india. I went in to see the movie with high expectations and all were met. Great character development, storyline, direction, cinematography and music. It is not a typical big-set bollywood melodrama. Very refreshing. The message was conveyed beautifully, showing how global phenomenons change lives of individuals. Very relatable. I came out of the movie thinking I should do more to help others.

Commercially, The movie very subtlety targets 2 type of Indians: NRIs and non-NRIs. The NRIs identify themselves with the different locations and events of US whereas the non-NRIs appreciate the same. Pros: 1. SRK and Kajol have delivered stellar performances in this movie. 2. Add that with the strong message this movie spreads. Cons: 1. Khan is shown too good to be identified with. He's almost superhuman. 2. Too lengthy and melodramatic. The world was devided in two time phrames... BC and AD.

Karan, SRK and several reviewers have mentioned that the topic terrorism is the backdrop in the movie and the front line is the love story between Mandeera and Rizwan.
May be... But the main topic according to me was - how people (specially in US) look at a Muslim after 9/11.

This is one of the most amazing movies I have ever seen in my life. The story, the screenplay, the music, acting, emotions, was all just amazing. Shahrukh Khan was at his best with acting that he has never done before. He was just SUPERB. If you like Bollywood movies, this is the movie to watch. I can watch this movie over and over and over again and never get tired. Go watch it, you wont regret it. Wish I could give more then 5 stars for this movie. It feels like KJo was gung ho when he started making the film and then lost interest (almost at the end of the first scene) and the story line just went to the trash can. SRK looked retarded and not like someone who had Asperger's - Kajol and Zarina were the saving grace - not even worth watching on dvd. Waste of time and money

It was a very intersting movie with a strong message.It was so true how innocent male muslims are being targeted at airports for no reason. The part on the Georgia floods was a little dragging an itwas unnecessary. other than that excellent movie and ofourse sharooke Khans acting was awesome. theres no doubt about it.

This movie was utterly classical. It conveyed a very graphic message about the treatment of Muslims after September 11, 2001. It gave everyone who actually paid attention a real reason to watch. On top of that, a masterful performance by Shah Rukh Khan. The message was very strong and I felt so involved with this movie. I don't understand why people are saying this movie lacked direction...it did not and if you think it did, you obviously need to see it again one more time. People were in tears watching this movie; it is that deep. I will be watching this movie several other times. A true masterpiece in a time of sub-par movies. I was very satisfied with this movie and every Shah Rukh Khan fan out there agrees with me.
