Two separate reviews...As a kids movie it was great. My boys loved the characters and the created world as they do in all Dr. Seuss films/stories. If you have kids, go see this movie. The kids will love it. Now, the second review...I found the political overtones way to much for my tastes. Obviously kids won't pick up on it so its easy to ignore but it is a bit much. Flashing the signs "To big to fail" and others as things are going awry simply got on my nerves. I am a Biology / Environmental Science double major so I appreciate the conservation message but the politics were over the top.

The only good things about this movie were 1) the message about conservation and 2) the cute little animal characters. Otherwise, this movie was so inane I couldn't wait for it to end. On the flip side, my eight year old loved it.

Our 4 year old daughter was riveted to her seat the entire film holding two stuffed animals and watching the movie intently. She didn't want to leave until all of the credits were finished.

I took my daughter who is 3 and 1/2 to this movie and she loved, she usually by the end of the movie starts moving around because of boredom, but with this she actually was watching until the last minute, excellent movie, good story line and nice vibrant colors.

I took my kids and two of their friends from school to see this. They loved it. My three year old laughed/giggled so much! My 6 year old loved it as well. I enjoyed Dr. Seuss as a child and I was actually eager to see it. The graphics were amazing and entertaining especially the singing bears and can't forgot about the marshmellows but it taught a message...which is what I liked the most. The trees are so beautiful...gotta find some of those...maybe I wil ask THE LORAX!!!!

Not my favorite Dr. Suess by a long shot. Political message disguised as a children's movie. The voice overs were good. Colors and graphic typical Suess. I did not find the story very compelling. My 7 year old grand daughter liked it, but i doubt she understood much of the message.

Really cute movie, my kids enjoyed it very much! I am extremely proud that they made this a "true" children's movie as most cartoon movies that have come out lately have had "adult" jokes. Plus the moral of this story is great for this generation because we take nature and the environment for granted. Definitely recommend this movie.

The political, mostly liberal, undertones in the movie are so obvious my ten year old was pointing them out to me. Basically what you and your kids will be indoctrinated with for 2 hours is big business bad, people that make money are evil, the environment is euphoria and if you are one of the protectors of the environment you are good. Really the level of overt brain washing from Hollywood has reached a new level...If you don't believe me go see for your self, I would not recommend taking your kids though. Obama himself will probably nominate it for movie of the year...seriously that bad.

I took my 6 yr. old Grandson and we both LOVED it! A Feel Good Movie even with the ecological message which was delivered well.
The only negative - I did not feel the 'favorite child' comment was necessary or appropriate.
