Loved it! Anyone who has ever been involved with the art world will totally get it....what is art? Are you selling out if you produce something commercial? Does selling your work cause more pain than being ignored? Are all art dealers greedy pigs? Does making something so outrageous and "bad" make it good? everything in this movie is inside out, and totally fun!

Welcome to the small and eclectic world of those who live in NYC and have the ability to exist on the fringe in the wold of art and experimental music. If you recall the family who moved into the house in Beetlejuice, you know the type. There's a complete disconnect from all things most people think of as normal, like a melody or even a painting. Here a pushpin placed on a wall is embraced as genius and the tearing of paper is music. At times this satire can be quite funny. Those who collect and sell the art are probably more out there than the artists who at least are expressing something. Its a smart art film but may be too narrow for those outside the art scene. I enjoyed it.

If you enjoy a good melody or fine portrait painting, this movie isn't for you. "Commercial art" is frowned upon in this movie about troubled artistic souls and the people who exploit them. Adam Goldberg is hilarious as a misunderstood atonal musician desperately seeking acceptance. This is definitely an artsy film that explores the meaning of art.
