This movie was a real stinker! I could have watched network tv and found a better movie to see and saved fifteen bucks in the process. This movie says the fourth kind is abduction but the way the movie flowed was really disturbing moreso than the subject matter. Also it was entirely depressing with little to no detail of what happened being comunicated. I'm a sci-fi freak but this movie is a reason to give-up sci-fi altogether. I would not waste a dime to see this one...

To be frank, short and simple, you'll only want to rent this one on DVD. Don't even buy it. The story basically boils down to aliens are really God and they don't mind playing around with us and causing paralysis. I'm serious. That's the plot. The characters have no development, and you don't really care if aliens take them away. You sometimes think it would be for the best, especially if that dumb sheriff would disappear. And the movie's biggest creep factor was the main character looks dead, and it was more creepy for me since she looked exactly like a former co-worker of mine (who always looked dead too).

Okay, sure that this movie could have been fake, that doesnt make it a bad movie. And maybe all of this could have actually happened and if it did they surely wouldnt have used the people's real names so you probably wouldn't find it on the internet, which is why people believe it isn't real. I have an open opinion, I can't decide if it's real or not. But even if it wasn't real, it was still an awesome movie, because they actually decided to make the "real" footage on their own just to make it even more of a thriller.

I give it two-and-a-half out of five stars. I was smart enough to figure out that it was'nt actualy based on a true story and at least some of the supposed "actual footage" as well as the "audio evidence" was created for the movie and I just happened to do alittle research and turns out I was correct. Most of the alleged events (as well as Dr. Abigail Tyler, according to my sorces) were complete fiction. Did not completely suck, Very startling and intriguing plot.

I am not so egotistical, or close minded, as to believe that we are the only intelligent beings in the universe, that being said this movie scared the bejesus out of me and I believe that it is true. There are just too many reports going to back to the beginning of time about alien encounters. I would highly recommend this to anyone who believes that there is a possibility that WE ARE NOT ALONE.... get ready to get scared!

I think this movie was ok but it was kinda wierd there were acually a couple of scenes that freaked me out. If you dont believe in aliens (I dont) then you might not really like it because it is supposedly based on a true story. But it was ok. If you like the x files or anything like that then you might like it.
