Enjoyed the movie, however it was a bit slow. What made it good was that it's based off of real-life events. !-explains Palin (sorry-my opinion) and 2-makes me a bit nervous about ever visiting.

I'm not sure I believe in alien abduction, however, I think this movie depicts the trauma and terror these people must really go through if this does indeed happen. It depitcts the abductees as victims, as opposed to trying to glamourize the experience. In addition, it does not promote blind acceptence of these alien beings, rather, it challanges one to think of what the true origin is behind these "aliens" ...if they do indeed exist.

This movies really is a toss up. On one hand, the actually footage was pretty interesting, but the acting was something to be desired. The movie shows actual footage alongside the actors "acting" it out and the actors never quite nail what the real people were going through. However, the idea was very interesting. I would recommend to a friend if only to see the actual footage it shows.

The audience is a jaded lot these days. The torture/gore horror genre is ever escalating to new heights trying to find a nerve that hasn't been pressed yet. The Fourth Kind goes a different direction. It tries to get under your skin, to instill a sense of dread. My compliments to the director/writer for trying a new approach. It isn't what you see, it is what you don't see and our imaginations are called to the forefront. The performances are great and the direction is original. The score is seamless. A great scare with disturbing moments and parts that make you jump out of your seat.

I highly doubt the "real" footage and the "real life" personalities. If they are true then we should have heard much more about them in tabloids and on TV. If they are not then the "premise" like the Blair Witch Project which I found a hollow scenario when revealed wouldmake me feel tricked or used by this film's producers and writer. That said, Mila Jojovich did a fine job of acting and it was spine tinling all the way through. It's the aftertaste I wonder about.

The movie was AWESOME.... The sory-line was great, it was based on real/true facts, yet with a hollywood aspect into it... The report on the fourth kind of Dr. Abigail's daughter was very melancholy. Putting so much stress on the "fact" that the audio and video clips were all real did nothing but make it more and more difficult to believe. They tried a little too hard. Some of the subtitled parts towards the end also felt like they were just laying it on too thick. It wasn't enjoyable. Couldn't get into it.

This movie is suffering from an identity crisis (and lack of focus) in that it can't decide whether to be a documentary or a Hollywood sci-fi movie. Set in Nome, Alaska, it's no wonder that there's so much "real" footage of psych patients going stir-crazy and homicidal. I can't recommend this movie because it was exhausting to watch split screens with the "real" footage on one side of the screen and the acted version on the other. I would've rather watched either one of the two movies, which would've allowed me to focus more on the facts presented and draw my own conclusion. As it stands, it's the product of a director who lacks decision making skills.

Although I thought the movie was pretty good and gave it 4 stars, I chose not to recommend it to friends mostly because of it's "creepy-factor". I was hoping for a better alien-abduction movie, but all I got was what seemed to be a demon-possession movie. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but it was still a good movie and I found it to be very intersting. Whether it is really based on a "true story" or not....eh, I'm not so sure. To be honest, the best thing about this movie was the actor WILL PATTON. He's one of my favorite character actors and his performance was once again top-notch.

it took some getting used to the way it was filmed, but i was truely tripped out. I'm not easily scared, but this movie made me jump so violently at one point... it was like being hit .by a car! I was freaked out by some of the things they were saying i had never heard before about the aliens and what the aliens were saying. The female Dr in the real footage looked truely traumatized. I am sort of at a loss of what to believe. freaky stuff. i'm glad i went.

My wife really wanted to see this movie, while I was hesitant. We went to see this movie after walking out of The Box and were greatly entertained. If you like this genre of movies then this is a must see, and if you don't (like me) I think that you will still find it enjoyable. Story plot keeps you interested through out the movie. This movie went on the same old school creepiness as paranormal activity. It messes with your mind. They show the video and let you hear the audio and then they leave ti up to you to make your own decision. The facts are presented and a story is told.
The movie is a bit dry at times because they are explaining things but then those dry moments are immediately followed up with some action. I was genuinely uncomfortable and had goosebumps the entire movie. It was excellent. I only wish they would have dug deeper into the story and tried to explain more.

At the beginning of this film, Milla Jovovich says that what you're about to see is extremely disturbing and this holds true throughout most of the movie and leaves you really thinking about parts of it after the movie. I like this this film because it offers a fresh new idea. Throughout the movie it incorporates footage of actual case studies, which is very intriguing, but I seriously doubt that it's real footage. The footage of the case studies was very believable. It's definitely worth the money and I expect it to do pretty well at the box office. I loved it. they showed it at a theater close to where I work. It was a screening for a college group and my buddy worked at the theater. But all I can say is it terrified me. I found it really disturbing on a lot of levels past the sci-fi elements itself. Like the reviewer said, it's a very different and ambitious type of movie and it has had me thinking, and staying up later and later every night since I've seen it.
