Valentines Day was a charming movie. It was not oscar-level by any means, but it definitely had some good twists and an appropriate ending. For what is (just a charming movie to see with your significant other) it achieves its purpose quite well. Don't expect gut wrenching drama or searing action. This is a comedy with a dash of real life. A huge all star cast makes it truly enjoyable to watch.

The only thing special about this movie was the wonderful cast. It's unfortunate they didn't have more script to work with. My 16 year old found the movie confusing because it jumped around between the different story lines, even though they did wrap up nicely. The storyline was fairly predictable. I gave it 3 stars because it was pleasant enough and had a fabulous cast.

Despite some of the moral problems (pre-marital sex) the movie actually had some nice messages and themes. I enjoy movies where the characters seem real and you can connect to. I like how all the story lines intertwined. A good date movie and "chick flick" Except for two parts, it wasn't all that predictable either, which was nice. The acting is good, and the entertainment is good. It is not a movie you would buy, but worth the rental or to see in theater for a date.

I am always concerned when there are so many major characters in a movie because when this is the case there is not the in-depth meaningful dialogue you will find in other movies. With that said and that also being the case, I found the movie very pleasant. During the entire run the audience outwardly expressed their emotions about the movie in a positive way. Make no mistake, if you are going here to see the next rendering of Dr. Zhivago you will be deeply disappointed. If you are just going to see a pleasant date movie I highly recommend it.

This was a well written movie. Great set of actors and actresses and they worked well together! Very moving and I loved the twist at the end. Very nice surprise!
