My wife and I were apart on Valentine's Day, so to make up for it, I surprised her with dinner and this movie on Friday 2/19. Big mistake. The characters and dialogue are cliche, there's too much going on that's all just a little too coincidental, and the movie takes cheezy to a whole new level. I will admit, there are a couple of funny stand-alone quips and scenes, but as an entire motion picture, it borders on unwatchable. And, at an hour and 57 minutes, it also borders on torture. Even my wife, who likes every movie, couldn't wait for it to end. Bottom line...going to to this movie seems like a nice, romantic idea at the time, but save your money and go bowling instead...

After reading all the bad reviews by critics I was skeptical going in. I'm not a big romantic comedy lover, but since it was valentine's day, decided to take my wife. Usually movies with big casts have a tendency to be crappy but I was pleasently suprised. It was entertaining, enjoyable and overall good. Kind of like the American version of Love Actually only not as classic.

We had been told by our grandson this movie was awsome. When we asked who was in it, he said Taylor Swift. He's 12. We took his advise and saw it on Valentine's Day. The line was long to go into the theater but well worth the wait. There were some twists in the story that surprised us. There has been alot of hipe about Julia Roberts and what she was paid for her brief part, but she was the right person for this. She delivered on all levels.
