I was very skeptical after having read ratings on rottentomatoes.com, but I should have guess that rottentomatoes would be over-critical as they have been in the past in my experience. My wife and I really enjoyed this movie! It was light-hearted and fun and left us with a good feeling at the end. I guess if you're a critic, you might not like it, but when you're not trying to nitpick every aspect of the movie, it can turn into a fun night out!

I wasn't expecting much from this movie so I wasn't surprised by the lack of plot, too many cliches and unfocused effort on comedy or romance. At least it was semi-entertaining and I was with my wife but I feel I wasted a lot of money on this movie. Like other reviewers, I have to say if you're looking for ground breaking script writing or award winning acting this is not the film for you. I planned to go to this movie with my boyfriend, but ended up seeing it with my girls. We loved every minute of it, but were not expecting anything more than the love/hate stories that were in the movie. We would really have given this 3 1/2 stars but that wasn't an option! My husband and I went in with expectations set to see a charming fluff kind of movie and that's what we got. The "good" characters were very appealing, the "bad" characters appropriately got their comeupance and all was well with the world by the end of the movie. If you go into this expecting a deep thought provoking movie, then you'll be disappointed. This is just fun fluff. Absolutely tremendous cast that wastes some talents, but what there is of that talent, is greatness. From a male perspective, just go in and enjoy getting away for a while.

We went to this on Valentine's Day---along the lines of Love Actually. A lot of sweet story lines and comedy mixed in to keep it fun.
