I get it, you're supposed to hate this guy, but the jokes were terrible and probably why this guy's like is as awful as it appears to be.. While there were a few funny parts, ultimately it boiled down to some dick who retorts with the same lame comebacks, every time.. About 20 minutes in, you could see the "jokes" coming a mile away..

I Hope they Serve Beer in H*** (it wouldn't let me type that word in the review, ha) was hilarious. Such great humor from three actors that I know, but may not be known by a lot of people. The dry humor and sometimes inappropriate comedy made this a great movie. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good laugh.

I enjoyed the movie a lot. I was not as entertained as the book though. I know the writers put a lot of work into the movie but for me it was lacking something, but I cannot put my finger on it. Maybe it was because there were only 2 others in the theater with me and I was the only one laughing - sometimes a good movie is made better when others are laughing along with you. Or maybe it was because it was an ‘INDY’ production and they could not do some of the scene they really wanted to in order to grab the full effect of a particular scene.
Overall, (4 out of 5 starts), I’d recommend this movie if you want to check your brain when you/they press start, veg and laugh vigorously.

I thought this was a great movie. Ill be honest, I felt the book was better, but they did a great job trying to take pieces of the short stories from the book to make a movie that had a storyline, good transition, and a ending. I loved the dialog, absolutely brilliant. The witty and sharp comments never ended, and I laughed throughout the whole movie. I would definitely recommend this movie to my friends, in fact I already have.

I have Tucker's book, have read the blog, and think he's hilarious.
I don't know what went wrong here. Whether it's proof that being a good author doesn't make you a good screenwriter, or perhaps some other authority overpowered his creative genius, or that no one reviewed the footage to see if anything was "clicking" onscreen, or perhaps it's because the descriptions and thoughts he had in the stories were where the humor lay, and those elements must be translated or lost when moving to the silver screen. In fairness, the dialogue rang true of TM, but was deprived of its punch, either by poor delivery or by the fact that many of the funny lines were possibly just too long to work when spoken aloud. Sorry TM, I wanted this movie to rock.
