Was a good movie, sort of a beauty and the beast spinoff but nice. Good movie for the younger (13 - 16) kids to understand that beauty is from within and not just on the outside. Overall nice time and feel good movie.

Personally i think that everyone out there who does not think this movie was amazing is an idiot. It was purely riveting. Yes the movie have have been a cliche because of the flowers and poetry, but it was supposed to be about real life, and in real life (even though it is done too much) guy gives girls flowers and poetry. Alex Pettyfer did an Amazing job in this movie acting and trying to portray true feeling of love for Vanessa. I give this movie five stars and recommend it for anyone who wants to feel like they could fall in love too.

It was….ok. The interpretation was a bit weak and the movie was too short. I think there needed to be a bit more build up in the relationship. It had some funny parts and Neil Patrick Harris in a supporting role was quite good.

Despite the odd beginning...What was the purpose of the "Green" election...are school kids really that shallow...the movie that followed was extremely touching. I found Neil Patrick Harris to be amusing and his wit definitely helped to make the movie very entertaining,
Even though the end was predictable, it was still a nice way to spend an hour and a half, believing that people can change. I think they may have cut out a little too much of the film to get it in the 1.5 hours.

First of all, I harken from a totally wrong demographic for this film. If you are a teenager or 20-something you may very well enjoy it more than I did. With not only the Disney Studio version but the stylistic poetry of the Cocteau film as cinematic context, this interpretation is abysmal.
Beast wins Beauty's love with poetry and flowers? Really? Beast needs to win Beauty's love by offering up his own life to save her's. That is the core of the story. And the filmmakers knew this. They knew it! Early on a man threatens Beauty's life. His brother was killed and so she must die. But the necessary climax never comes. The antagonist is never again seen. Apparently he committed another crime and was sent to jail, so Beauty is safe. The real crime here is that a terrific story has been emotionally deprived of its life's blood.
As for Beast (and this is merely a quibble as the plot is the vital element), I found his makeup to be distracting. There was some kind of metal jewelry (?) piercing the bridge of his nose that was completely beyond comprehension. I kept wondering how such a thing was possible. Why, is easily explained. Once upon a time I was a 20-something, too.

I thought the film was complete garbage. Terrible acting, terrible everything. It's crazy since it could have been so much better.
Yes, I went in expecting it to be bad, but it was just embarrassing. I felt ashamed to be in the theater (seeing it for free) and for everyone associated with the film, especially whoever wrote this film.
I was laughing through out most of the movie to keep from crying. I can honestly say it's the worst movie I've seen in theaters in years. So bad that 7 people walked out of a FREE screening.
Neil Patrick Harris was charming, but not enough to save this disaster. Don't waste your money. If you get free passes, I'd say check it out. I don't think it was worth it honestly, an hour and a half I can't get back, but I have seen terrible movies before so this isn't new.
But otherwise, if you're debating paying for this, just don't. It's terrible.

I really enjoyed the movie but feel that it lacked "meat" in the story. It went from the event that cause his disfigurement to the ending without enough, in my opinion, events in between that showed him winning her love. I don't want to discourage other viewers becuase this movie was very enjoyable and I would recommend it, I just thought it could have been a little better in the middle of the story.

To show Kyle the same level of compassion that she got from him, she turns him ugly and gives him 1 year to find true love or he’ll be Beastly forever. His only hope is a student named Lindy (Vanessa Hudgens). Hiding in a house across the way, Kyle is joined by his tutor (Neil Patrick Harris) and Zola (Lisa Gay Hamilton) the maid. A 12 month journey to be reborn and find true love. A little bumpy in the beginning but a smooth ride to the end. Definitely entertaining for the whole family pg-13. 4 out of 5 stars

Yes, it was happily ever after... but it's "Beauty and the Beast" it's supposed to be happily ever after. Neil Patrick Harris was amazing! The audience cheered each time he opened his mouth. What a great performance!
