I, like a lot of other people I'm sure, went to see this movie because I love Rob Pattinson and I love romantic drama. Roberts acting surpassed what I expected of him and took him out of the "Edward" typecast that I'm sure critics saw him headed toward. This movie was beyond your typical romantic drama. All the charactors are deep and well developed, the story line unique in its own way. I DID NOT see the ending coming and had to sit and collect myself before I left the theater. There are a lot more wonderfull things I could say about this movie but just go and see it for yourself. It will not be what you expected and you will not be disipointed. Beyond Excellent!! 6 Stars!

Fantastic movie. Very well acted. Rob of course may be the draw to make people walk in the door, but the story and all the actors are what make you want to stay. Sad,but beautiful story.

This movie was SO well written and SO well acted by all involved! A little slow at the beginning, but, better that they developed the relationships and didn't rush it. The only downside is that this was one of the saddest movies that I've ever seen. This movie truly moved me.

I, as others went because I'm a huge Robert Pattinson fan, and thought it would be a nice chick flick. I left crying, and told my husband this was a movie he would also love. Men, don't avoid this movie, the storyline is great with plenty iof unexpected turns and Robert P. IS a very good actor, not just a hot vampire for teens (and grownups) to ogle. Fabulous job by all actors, fabulous movie! you won't be disappointed.

I thought the movie was amazing! Emilie de Ravin is a great actress. Robert Pattinson well I didn't know he could show such crazy emotion. I really think this movie brought out the best in both the actors. Altho once the movie is over it really has you thinking that your life is crap, but it also makes you just wanna live your life to the fullest for the rest of it! All in all i loved it and would go see it again!!!

This movie was absolutely amazing! I was so moved by the situations the characters found themselves in. Their struggles with depression, guilt, loss... it all rang very true to me. Rob Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin were brilliant, and proved they really can act! The actors were all great, and the story drew me in completely. The little girl who plays Tyler's sister is quite charming, too!

This movie was phenomenal! there was not a dry eye in the house or a heart untouched. Going into that movie the ending had been spoiled for me but it didn't lessen the tears, the message, or how amazing it was. I would see that movie again and again until i memorized each word through out the movie and I would never get tired of it. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time and definitely in my top favorite movies!

Please don't read the negative reviews. Just go see it. It is a beautiful film. Robert Pattinson does a great job. This is nothing like Twilight. Don't believe the critics! The ending, while sad is beautifully done.

I have to say my first draw to this movie was Robert Pattinson, that out of the way, it was phenomenal! He proves himself to be an actor, a real actor. This movie was 10 times better than anything he did in Twilight. To me it was about Tyler's struggle with depression and family tradgidy as well as Allie's father's struggle with his own depression. You can not go through what these characters went through and be un touched. It was real, raw emotion, and I can relate to that. I could feel Tyler's fustration with is dad and felt heartbroken when he finaly realized the depth of his Dad's feeling as his world was about to end. This movie will not leave me for a long time. Up there with "ordinary People" and "Terms of Enderment".

I went to this movie expecting a chick flick and a chance to ogle Rob Pattinson. However, I was also completely impressed with the depth of the characters created and the emotion portrayed by several of the actors. I hated the ending, but that's porably because I didn't go into this movie expecting a tragedy. I expected a light peice of fluff, which this did not turn out to be. Highly recommended.

This was by far the best movie I've seen in a long time. The depth was incredible. I was a Rob fan before the movie (Rob, not Edward -though Edward does ROCK!) and was 'affraid' I might be disappointed but quite the contrar. The movie was GREAT and left me in shock and tears - I had to take time to process it afterwards. Now I'm even more in love with Rob for stepping out on a limb to make this movie! His costars were all incredible as well. GREAT STORY!

I really love this movie. It was a bit different than I was expecting. I was pleasantly surprised by its depth. I am a HUGE Twilight fan, and admit that Rob Pattinson was my reason for seeing it, I loved his performance. A great movie, although I wish it had had a different, happier ending, I have mixed feelings, it was done so well, and I appreciate the ending, it brought us all back to such a tragic day, that we will never forget. I was just rooting for his character, and wanting the probably "typical, happily ever after ending", I was extremely touched, and left the theater, like most every one else, with tears flowing.

I "over the top" loved this movie. I thought the entire cast was absolutely phenomenal. Of course, Robert Pattinson was the draw but the acting by everyone blew me away. The story was was a lot deeper and meaningful than I thought it would be. the relationship between Tyler and Caroline was heart-warming. I cry at the drop of a hat but this story was so touching it even made my 17 year old daughter cry. She never does. Totally worth every penny. I am going to see it again and I can't want for it to come out in DVD!

I 2 went into this movie thinking that this would b a "chick" flick but boy, was I wrong. I thought here this actor is going 2 be a stereo-typical hearth throb the industry is going 2 try 2 cash in on. But, OMG, I was so wrong. I though that RPattz really did an outstanding job relating his character 2 the audience. I was not expecting the depth and emotion that he portrayed. wow is all i can say about this movie. The emotions you experience are intense. Rob Pattinson certainly puts to rest the critics that say he will always be the "vampire". He was amazing. I've been reading some of the other movie reviews and I must say, this movie was NOT brilliant. That is a total overstatement. If it wasn't for the twist at the end (last 10 minutes), the movie would be receiving 1 star by most people. The twist (which I won't give away) is unexpected and makes you leave the movie with a whole different perspective. That said, the ending is very abrupt and they don't resolve or even explain many of the character disputes that happen throughout the movie -- especially Rob P's girlfriend and her cop father. Seems pointless to the overall story. Save your money and rent the movie. Great for NetFlix!

It was hypnotic and riviting. There is something about Robert Pattinson that just draws you in. Apparently it does not matter what role he plays. The chemistry between the characters is amazing. Watch for the young girl in the movie who plays Caroline. She is gonna be a star in the years to come. The ending sent me reeling and out of the theather with tears streaming! Going into this movie I wasn't really expecting much to be honest. I just didn't know if Rob P. could break out of his "Edward" role. The movie had that pull you in factor. I found areas of the charaters that were pushed too far, but the characters were relateable for the most part. The ending left you breathless with what I could only call SHOCK. Another review was offended by what they deemed capitalization on another tragedy this may be fact but if it offended the movie ultimately did what it was supposed to do and that is touch you.

I thought this was going to be, well, a "Chick flick" and I ended up seeing it by accident when the movie i came to see was sold out. I went with 2 other friends and we all thought it was REALLY good. I am not a big fan of Robert Pattinson but he was pretty good in this movie. the movie was a lot deeper and more meaningful than i expected it to be, and I walked out of the theatre crying my eyes out (along with most of the other girls/women who came to see it. I definitely recommend this movie. but bring tissues.

This movie initially wasn't a big interest to me. I went out of curiosity to see if Pattinson could break out of the Tween phenomenon of Twilight and he did not disappoint. I think the rating of the movie should have been R only because of the content of the movie itself. Most 13-16 were children when 9/11 happened and when I left the theater opening night all the girls where giddy that they got to see Robert Pattinson and didn't grasp the movie (I myself was in tears at the end) IT was moving and beautifully done. People need to give this movie a chance before judging it.

I was anticipating a love story with a typical love story plot. I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of the movie. I won't elaborate on the surprises. Let it suffice to say that this one was worth seeing more than once. Now, as soon as I got home, I logged on to Rotten Tomatoes to confirm my great movie taste. I was disappointed to see how different my opinion was from the "professional critics" who obviously saw a different movie than I saw...or perhaps were disappointed when they found their 3-D glasses wouldn't be necessary for this one. Bottom line: If the critics don't love it, YOU probably will!

Other than going to see Robert Pattinson in a movie where he doesn't play a vampire I do not recommend this movie. Therefore I have to disagree with the reviews written so far since it was completely over dramatic. Thankfully there was Tyler's roomate to lighten the story up once in awhile. I also find it offensive to capitalize on a certain tragedy. Go into this movie ready for an emotional brow beating.
