This was a great, dark romantic drama! Robert Pattinson was great in this role and viewers get to see his talent outside the Twilight saga. The actress who plays Pattinson's little sister is excellent in her role. The movie kept my attention from start to finish with a suprising and very emotional ending. I went to see this movie to support Rob and I was amazed of his acting abilities. He really did a superb job in portraying his role. The supporting actors did a fantastic job as well. The plot was not that original but the movie flowed smoothly. There was never a "bored" moment. Congratulations to the cast!

Not predicatbale. All the bottled up angst you see from Robert Pattinson in his instant stardom from Twilight; makes you feel he can command this role. Refreshing, to see him release that brooding anger, shows that the fun loving Brit can act. Emilie de Ravin is known from Lost and not a fan favorite. She shows up in this movie with issues but is a likable character. The cast is well balanced Lena Olin always classic, lovely, and my naughty mom, Irina Derevko of Alias.
The movie is a creeper, you're thrown like a frisbee in one moment. It all weaves together as a beautiful tragedy worth every moment of anguish.
Proud to see one of the executive producer credits is to Robert Pattinson.

I went to see this movie to just find out really if Robert Pattinson can act outside Twilight Saga...I was impressed, and not pleasantly suprised...the entire cast did superb job portraing their characters. Very well done. This movie was a great story, and Rob did a fantastic job breaking away from his Edward character in Twilight. This was an emotional movie, and gave Rob an opportunity to really allow himself to stretch as a performer. There were tears, laughter, shock and I walked away satisfied. I highly recommend this movie. Rob is more than just eye candy in this movie. Ruby, who plays Taylors sister was my second favorite character and I loved the dynamic between the two actors.

Wanted to surprise my girlfriend by taking her to this movie (we saw the commercial on TV together). Had no real idea what it was about which to me is a great way to see something. I really enjoyed the film - it was well acted, brought up many interesting issues about people and how we relate to others and was pleasantly complex. I was moved by the ending. It brought up very strong feelings (I worked rescue and recovery at the site) that were both good to confront and difficult. The producers handled and presented the topic well and tastefully. Solid movie especially if you like to think about some more complex issues in life. Well done (and not many movies are these days).

If I had not already been a Rob fan before this movie, then this movie would have made me one. The story was well written and beautifully acted by all. I loved how protective he was of his little sister in the film. The girl who played his sister was superb. The movie was real and believable. Very good romance littered with tragedy at every turn. Emilie de Ravin and Chris Cooper gave great performances; Rob Pattinson's character was believable and I was pleased to see him push himself more in this role than in previous films. I love Rob Pattinson and was excited to see him in a different role. Of course I researched and read all the reviews prior to seeing it. All I can say is I am glad I didn't let the reviews discourage me from seeing the movie because it was a very good movie, very touching and well acted by all the actors. My mother in her 60's went with me (because I dragged her) and she also liked it very much. Many of the critics criticized the ending but I thought it was done tastefully and fit it just fine with the plot. Good movie. Worth seeing at the movies.

I think it made me connect with the characters even more during the film knowing the ending. I thought Robert Pattinson did a great job in this movie, as did all of the other actors involved. I would definitely recommend it!

Beautifully filmed, with a haunting story and a great cast, this film was a great choice for Robert Pattinson. My only qualm is that perhaps the ending overshadowed the personal nature of the story, but otherwise a very memorable and touching movie that I look forward to watching again on DVD. A breath of fresh air to see a more intimate, human tale amongst so many big-budget action extravaganzas.

This movie's ending really caught me off guard. I did not know what to expect, since I attended this with my young adult daughter who is crazy about Robert Pattinson by the way. Overall great movie!

I have already seen this movie twice and plan to see it again. It is amazing. The story is powerful and well-written. The acting is fantastic. Robert Pattinson is a great actor and I would go see him in anthing he makes. It was wonderful to see him in such a different role.

I expected Rob Pattinson to be good in this movie, but I must say he wowed me! Though I was already a fan of his, if I werent I would be after this movie. I thought the movie was tastefully done, especially the end sequence, But Rob and Emilie were beautiful as a couple. It made "us" cry at the end but it was so worth it. I loved it! and recommend all to see it! Its worth every penny!
