Rogue cops are usually fairly stereotypical, but Gibson breathes life into his character in this pulse-pounding, but very graphic film. Throughout the movie, I could feel the rage within this man and his determination to uncover the truth and avenge his daughter's murder. Good to see Gibson back on screen in this compelling performance. Avoid if you are sensitive to strong bloody violence. There's plenty.

this was not a typical "cop" movie...instead, it was a good movie with a good storyline.

Although a little slow-moving at times, this Mel Gibson drama was one of his best. There wasn't all that much gruesome violence, at least not until the end, and it was an excellent thriller. I would rate it in the same category as Shutter Island (if you saw that), although not quite that good. Kind of an old-school thriller with a good score and decent acting. The plot was a little predictable, but the acting and the general feel of the movie made up for it. You can always do the same story again, as long as it is done well.

It was horrible. I expected much more from a Mel Gibson movie. The plot and story line was weak. It ended badly and I was still confused about what was what.

Started out STRONG,nothing boring about this movie in anyway.Shocking, Riviting and action packed. This movie never stops! Every level of the movie intensifies and gets better and more shocking. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time waiting for the next thing to happen. On top of all that, I also had tears as did my husband when he was remanissing with his daughter when she was little. We felt his pain, having three little girls of our own. It makes you feel what he feels and it was just overall amazing. One of the best movies i have ever seen. The ending was great too. I felt satisfied and relieved and was NOT left wondering for once.most movies leave you hanging.

I thought the movie was great. I really wanted to go see a different movie, but I am glad we chose this one. Mel still has it. He is as great as he ever was. This is a movie both guys and girls will enjoy.
