The Movie carries a poignant message of the love of parent for child and the tiger instinct to protect. In this case the instinct was to find the reason for his daughter's murder. The plot was somewhat predictable, but the overall action kept this viewer on my seat's edge. Gibson delivered an emotion filled character, but some of the 'bad guys' were just too obvious. Nonetheless, it was well worth seeing.

Not a perfect movie, but very well done. Mel Gibson plays it like a real person would, not a super hero but as a sad and angry man seeking answers to why his life is turned upside down. The story has a few holes, as most movies these days do, but over all it was believable. The ending was a little "hollywood, however, but over all worth seeing.

For my taste it moved a bit slow, and the plot was a bit spotty.. I took my wife with me and she enjoyed the movie as well. I think the film editing cost this movie an extra star.

I was anxious to see this movie for no other reason than it had been so long since Mel Gibson had put out a new product. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. Although the movie supplied some very impressive and realistic action scenes (in other words violent), the storyline itself was very slow and convoluted. I also agree with another reviewer who mentioned that some of the dialogue was hard to follow, either due to the character’s accents or just the volume of their delivery. The two or three eye-catching moments were not enough to make the movie enjoyable for me. For that reason, I would not recommend it to others.

I really enjoyed this movie. It was a very believable plot, but not just another "Mel Gibson as the tough guy who kicks everyone's butt" movie. He was brilliant as a bereaved father just trying to make sense of his daughter's unfortunate death. I have to first say Mel,work on the Boston accent like my Brooklyn"accent"its not that easy to make sound real you feel his pain of losing a daughter The commercials make it look like he's on a murderous rampage while tracking and finding his daughters killers it was not like that With this story line there could have been much more,well deserved action scenes. Being a huge Mel Gibson fan, I couldn't wait to see this film. At times it was a little slow, but still, I was very satisfied with this movie. It had all a drama should have: suspense, intrigue and surprise. At times I had a little trouble understanding the accents and low tones of a couple of characters, therefore feeling like I may of missed something. All in all, a perfect fit for the tortured soul of Mel Gibson, I couldn't think of anyone else who could portray his character. Go see it, you won't be disappointed.

Not a bad job all things considered. I wish they would've played up the role of the DARPA agent more, since his character was arguably the coolest one in the movie.
Mel does a great job of showing the emotion of a father whose lost his only child. I guess my only problem was that I was expecting more from the trailers. I didn't think this film would be a dialogue heavy as it was.

Gibson gives his best performance since Braveheart. In fact, his character is fondly reminiscent of Harry Callahan.
This is a very entertaining movie with a couple of small plot errors, but if you're not paying attention you might miss them. However, if you're looking for Oscar material keep looking. This is an adrenaline-inducing but somewhat formulaic film, and the Academy is not going to be considering it for any award.

The amount of drama and suspense were equally distributed. Action scenes were good, some making you jump out of your seat. While much of the story line was predictable, there were still a few surprises. The movie kept moving and was engaging throughout. Good plot with surprises popping out at the right times. Many people were crying one minute then startled the next. Definitely worth seeing.
