Action packed show. Kept you at the edge of your seat. I would say this is one of the better shows that Mel Gibson has been in. This show also shows how outside business can control senators & some of ou leaders, kind of what I think is the case today.

It's been a while since Mel Gibson has starred in a movie, but this was a good one. It was interesting, had lots of "shoot-em-up" "bad guys get what they deserve" moments, but it was also clear that time was spent on the plot which had some great twists. Only negative point, it kind of felt like there was a bit too much, as in there were a few loose ends I didn't think got cleared up.

This movie held my attention the entire time. The twists and turns had me in suspense. I was never ready for the next scene. Unlike so many movies out there where you can predict each step!

In terms of plot, it was better than Taken, but the action was not nearly up to par. This is mainly because this is an overall boring movie. It's not all that original and the ending seems VERY rushed, but one should see this movie simply because most of the other movies out this year are not that good. The acting was okay, but it seemed like Mel forgot that he was from Boston in a few scenes and some of the other acting is a little corny. All in all, it was better than most and it is certainly watchable.

Movie was interesting and had some good surprises. Spoiler if you don't want to know coming next, lol. Would have been even better had the fact that his daughter was going to get shot at the front door wasn't known by a million previews that showed the scene at the house. If I produced the film I would have tried to keep that from being so widely known,spoils the scene.. If you like Gibson's grit and determined character that he does so well, then you will like this film too.

Intense, suspensful. Excellent acting. My wife and I both had difficulty hearing some lines. We both agreed on what we thought was said, but it was distracting and a negative. Neither of us were familiar with the original BBC Edge of Darkness, so cannot compare. Really cannot comment too much for fear of disclosing the many twists and turns of Craven's investigation into his daughter's murder.
The directing is excellent.

It's been way too long since Mel has been on the big screen. I am a HUGE fan of his and I was so looking forward to seeing this movie. I would give it 3 stars out of 5. It started out slow, but once it picked up it kept going full throttle. Mel looked the part for sure, sad and tortured.

Mel was back to his normal and the movie was great, well done from the begining to the end. Several great shocker moments. Rated a 5 by my family. Sound was way too low in the stadium I saw it in, not sure if it was their problem or was done by the producer to build interest. Great plot & incredible acting. The emotion was very real. A frew jump-out-your-seat moments and a sad, but wonderful ending.
The only negative I have to say about this movie (& it might have been the theatre's fault) is that it seemed the volume was too low in certain parts...it was sometimes difficult to hear the details of their conversations.

There are very few things in this world as pleasurable as watching Mel Gibson kick the crap out of someone. When other actors do it, it lacks the raw emotional edginess, the sense that in some respects, their characters are emotionally engaged in the violence they're inflicting. Not to harp on it, but when Mel takes it to the bad guys, you believe every punch, every grimace, every grunt, all of it. God, it is so nice to go to the local cinema, pay the cost of admission, and see old Mel's hard and grizzled, well worn in, mug up there on the screen again. what a waste. i thought it was going to be a good 'cop vs crime syndicate/ killer of his family' type thing, then it degenerates into some non-sensical govt plot/cover up paranoia. The only people who might enjoy this still think the CIA killed Kennedy and that an alien really did crash at area 51. Dont waste your money on this movie.
