Not one of the best for a Mel Gibson movie. Parts were slow and Mel's Boston Accent was distracting. The action here and there kept you awake with a few plot twists and nice message at the end. This movie was interesting and fun if you enjoy espionage stuff. However, Mel Gibson should not have been cast in the lead. He just does not pull it off too well. The biggest problem we had was trying to understand the British guy ..everytime he talked, he spoke so softly and mumbled, so it was very hard to understand what he was saying, which in turn made the plot harder to follow. The same holds true for Mel Gibson and his phoney Boston accent. But, if you like this sort of topic, you will enjoy the movie despite,,just make sure you bring a couple of friends along so when one of you misses or does not understand when they mumble, hopefuly someone else can clue you in.

It was not very interesting to say the least. They tossed around the same few words throughout the entire movie which became very redundant. I lost interest within the first 20-30 minutes and mustered the strength to continue for the duration for the sake of having already paid admission. The movie had a handful of action scenes that were spread evenly throughout the movie. I think it was to keep the audience from fully falling asleep from the horrible dialogue and uneventful scenes, which the majority of the movie contained. If you like little action, drawn-out scenes that take forever to get somewhere, watch this movie. The trailer was also misleading and the movie turned out to be a big disappointment.

Hard to understand the accents sometimes but overall a good movie. It was slightly disjointed and you could not tell exactly what was going on at times but the premise was good. The violence was intense and jarring at times but it made the movie great.

I guess Mel Gibson felt like he had to do something to take the glow off his recent divorce, the drunken tirade, and his new girlfriend. Well, this wasn't the way to do it! Predictable to a tee, blood was substituted for dialog, and frankly the cinematography was weak.
In short, it's a waste of nearly two precious hours that should be spent with good friends, or curled up with a good book.

This was a gripping, and at times emotional movie, but seemed contrived. Mel Gibson's portrayal of a Boston police detective was one over played. Yes he should struggle with a death of his daughter, but being a murder detective his characters outburst against police trying to help was utterly unbelievable. I was a little concerned that this movie would be about Mr Gibson going after the killer(s) in a fast and furious manner. But it did not happen. I thought it would be a different slant on "Taken" but it was not. Mr Gibson was very good in this movie. I do wish the current relationship between the daughter and father had been a little more developed and not so much film from the past. I think the sense of lose would had been better felt by the audience. The flow of the movie was very good and the pacing was also good I did not know about the ending whether it add to the overall effect of the movie or diminished it. I think the individual will have to make up their own mind.

Too many close-ups of Mel Gibson's face. The dialogue was mumbly and I couldn't understand some of the things said. I could never figure out who the guy was that drank wine and was shot by the security guard. When Steven Segal goes after politicians, at least the plot is clear. I'd recommend this movie only if you were desperate.

The movie was good but I won't see it again - Mel is starting to look like a washed up alcoholic. It's a shame too...i love his movies. However; it was still action packed and a few moments of jumpping out of your seat with an unexpected "accident" - the majority of the theater actually screamed out loud - it's definitely worth seeing
