Really well done. Good script and strong acting. This film has a great cast and I disagree that it's predictable. Hollywood movie making at it's best. Since it was by the same writers as The Departed, and if you've seen it, you know the end already. However, this movie was improbable in how one man takes down an entire nuclear research facility, but with enough probability, somewhat, to be compared with the first Die Hard. This movie was cheesy with the scenes of his dead daughter and a lot of scenes were predictable. However, if you found The Departed good, you'll like this one too. Great acting on Gibson's part, enough action-packed drama to get you involved in the movie, and very very good fight scenes and shoot-outs. This movie is definitely worth seeing.

This is a 'GREAT' Movie, I loved the plot and the suspense, yes there is violence, but it was needed to be in for the whole story. Mel Gibson is wonderful, really I was so impressed with his performance and I wasn't a big Fan of his. The writer of this story should get an Award, and really good supporting actors. I will buy this when it comes out on DVD and I'm going 2 go see it again, I usually don't watch movies more than once, so, I guess I really enjoyed this Movie....one that is okay to spend your $ on.

We enjoyed it. It was full of plot twists. The British guy did mumble and was hard to understand. I couldn't understand how his daughter looked so angelic and untramatized in the ME's after the blow she took that sent her backwards 20 feet. Guess that's the movies. 'Edge of Darkness' has a great theme and a good story line, but the trailer gave away too much information, taking away any possible mystery that could have added to the movie. There's too much implausibility and too much 'Ghost Whisperer', which makes it difficult to take the story seriously. A lot of the other acting was great, but it wasn't one of Mel Gibson's best efforts. A lot of the problem was Mel being miscast in the part. He has been great in other types of movies, and I can think of several actors that would have been much better in this one. Even with all its flaws, I can't recommend against seeing it though. There is enough good to make it sufficiently enjoyable to see. Just don't expect the greatness that could have been.

I thought it was a good movie, lots of action, a good story, clever ending. I thought Mel played the role of the cop well, and the British guy was a good actor and so was the boyfriend. The only thing that bothers me is when there is a loud sound that accompanies gunfire or a shooting in all the movies today. The action scenes are too surprising and loud.
