Highest honor I can give this movie is that I'm a guy and I liked it. I went thinking Ms. Cyrus might be a weak link - she was not. She did amazingly well. This was a quality movie with a quality story at a time when Hollywood is way short on both. As I walked out into the lobby after the movie and saw all the young kids waiting in line to see shootem'ups and vampires, I could not help but wonder why they spend their money on that crap and won't give a quality movie like this one a second look. There were multiple messages in this film and all of them were worth taking in. Makes spending money on something like MacGruber look like the waste that it is.

I really liked the movie overall. I cried a bunch. I haven't read the book, but I will now. I always like to watch the movies first that way I am not disappointed in them and it makes the books even better. Miley did a pretty good job although she was distracting, I don't know why. I haven't seen her in her teenie bopper role so that couldn't have been it. She did pretty good though. I loved Greg Sinise and the little boy. I totally wasn't expecting the sad parts. This is a great parent and child bonding movie.

Miley Cyrus is just starting as a dramatic actor. As such, she did a good job with the role. It took me about 15 minutes to stop seeing 'Miley' and get into the characters and the story. I have not read the book yet; however, I will now, particularly due to some other reviews I've read. The story was good, although I wished the characters had been fleshed out a bit more. I wish there were half-stars available - I would have gone to 3 1/2 for this one. By my standards, Star Trek got a 5 (should have been more!), so, while I enjoyed this film, it's not the everlasting best I've ever seen. I'll buy the DVD when it becomes available. There are a few relatively mild fight scenes, some possible implied drug use, and alcohol use.

After reading the book I just had to see the movie, although the book is always better ;-). Never the less, I liked it.... a lot. The good vibe lasted a couple of days! However, I cried (a couple of times) when reading the book and not at the movie. Go see it! It'll make you smile!

A very sweet story line. Left a lot of holes in the story line that the book fills in. Miley Cyrus is ok but I was not that impressed with her acting in this movie. Liam is a doll! It is a tear jerker which is typical of Nicholas Sparks movies. Like I said is a bit of a week story line, but over all a nice movie. My girls ages 10 and 17 liked it.

I loved the movie because I enjoy watching Miley Cyrus the movie star. One of my favorite parts was when the baby turtles hatched. Another part of the movie I liked was when Will traced Ronnie’s body with sea shells. I enjoyed the movie very much.

I LOVED this book....but the movie not so much! Miley is a cutie but this was not her best acting. I was a little disappointed in it. When she's not talking...she's really good. Can cry at the drop of a hat. But this may be something for the teeny boppers, because the acting just wasn't good enough. She wasn't ready for a leading role! :(
