I thought this movie was very entertaining. Thought Miley did a great job-- as did all of the characters. I was apprehensive about seeing it after reading some of the critic reviews who rated the movie very low. But as usual, the movie was much better than they gave it credit. Anytime I see two stars or less on a critic review, I'll go see the movie. They must be watching some other movies.

This was a very sweet movie meant for a chicky crowd. Miley did a great job of losing her Hannah Montana facade to become a typical rebellous teen. I did not read the book however, I have read many of Sparks books and found this movie right in line with his writings. Lots of tearful moments with romance in between. Enjoyed the sweetness of the movie and the lack of language and sex.

To begin, Miley does not play the squeaky-clean character as she does when she portrays Hannah Montanna. Therefore, her spoiled, demanding selfish and disrespectful character will make you angry at first. Then she meets Will and all that changes.
This movie will make you cheer and cry a the same time while enjoying a few laughs along the way. I definitely recommend it and I will be buying the DVD. Miley fans will also enjoy her two songs on it.

The beginning of this movie is your typical sullen teen meets golden child and then the sparks fly kind of story. Not told very well, poor dialogue, and wooden acting. Jokes fell flat with the audience and so it was very painful to watch during the first 45 minutes. As the story progressed and the typical Nicholas Sparks manipulation took place, the story became much better and the writing improved. The young boy who played the younger brother is a good actor, I hope to see him again. The directing was not the greatest and the editing was poor as well. In several places it felt as if scenes were chopped off and crucial information was missing. My tween daughter and her friend loved it; I only enjoyed the last half. Take your kleenex!

Took my granddaughter and daughter to see this movie and we all loved it. It was Happy, sad, funny, romantic all in one. Super movie that I would go see again. Took my 2 nieces to watch this movie, a 13 and 16 yr. old, not knowing the story as I have yet to read Nicholas Sparks The Last Song. I was pleasantly surprised at how good and touching this movie is. I'm not a big fan of Miley Cyrus, but she did well in this movie. My 11yr old daughter and I went to the movie yesterday with hoping it was going to be a movie and not another musical. I thought Miley Cyrus proofed that she could act as well as sing without being Hannah Montana. It was a well written and theatrical production with real life situations that arise today. This movie was very well thought out and I enjoyed it so much that I didn't find myself trying to figure it out ahead of time. This is a wonderful movie for a father and daughter to go see together. The father and daughter in the film have been separated by divorce and they have fences to mend. This one is a must see and Miley Cyrus is a very believable actress... she will do more. wow i just went to see this movie with two of my best friends and we thought is was great! there was alot of kissing but nothing inaproppriate. there was only a very few amount of bad words. in the end the dad died and it brought me to tears and my friends! most of all that made me think of my grandmother that died 2 months ago. but this movie is also very very very sweet i loved it and so did my friends!!!!!!!!!

Really not expecting too much from this movie and we were pleasantly surprised by the acting, music, story & message. Miley Cyrus expands her acting chops, veteran Greg Kinear added perfect seasoning and newcomer Liam Hemsworth was also very good. While not a perfect movie it is easy to watch and relate to. It's biggest downfall is in trying to be too obvious at times in it's "setup" & the "pay-off". All in all this is an enjoyable, lyrical tale of life's twists & turns and hard lessons learned.

as I was hoping for - but it was a decent movie. Miley's performance was pretty weak and forced. The movie seemed rushed. Little brother and boyfriend did a great job in this film - and boyfriend is super easy on the eyes. I agree with someone else about the editing being really strange in places. Soundtrack was good though. I was extremely distracted by her crooked tooth throughout the movie though. For pete's sake, she's a multi-millionaire! Why hasn't she gotten that tooth fixed yet? She's all mouth so that's all anyone can look at!

If you are expecting a simple love story, this movie is much more dramatic than that. If you like to be cheered up and leave a movie happy, this is not the movie to see. This was a wonderful heart touching story of a teenager trying to find herself after her parents' divorce, discovering her father has cancer, and dealing with just being a teenager girl "in love" with the hunky summer boy. The actors were awesome in this movie, including Miley Cyrus. I admit that I was not a fan of Miley, but she pleasantly surprised me with her believable performance. There were a few quirky areas, but I think it worked well into the movie. Kelly Preston was great as usual. I loved the fact that the movie used "She will be loved" in this movie (given Kelly Preston was in that video). Great tie in. I am a huge Nicolas Sparks fan. I was disappointed with his last movie Dear John, so I was anxious to see if he redeemed himself. He did. This movie isn't The Notebook level, but it definitely supercedes Time in a Bottle. A great family movie.

Overall, this movie was very similar to the book. Miley's inexperience as an actress was there but the other actors were great. There was much laughing, and yes, some crying parts. Very touching relationship with Dad, brother, and Mom. My mom (aged 79) was waiting for this movie as she had read the book and we were both not disappointed.

I have seen many movies in the past but this movie has out done all of the others. It shows young love innocent as it should be. There are no sexual overtures or sexual explotation of the young actors in the movie. It is how young love should be protrayed to our young audience.I truly enjoyed this move and I think Miley Cyrus and her young co star did an awesome job of showing what young love should be and how much fun a first love can be with out all the sexual baggage. I went to this movie and found it very entertaining. It had a wonderful meaning and message. People sitting next to me were crying their eyes out in the second half of the movie. I'm not a crier but I did have some tears in my eyes.
There was some weak acting though. Miley Cyrus was weak in certain places and was outshined by the more experienced actors. But in other places she played her part perfectly.
There was some bad editing on their part in certain places as well.
I still loved the movie, though and recommend it to all of you. :)

I prefer to see films that explore human experiences and portray honest emotions and reactions. 'Last Song' lived up to its promotions and gave us much to discuss in terms of the difficulty of relationships. Miley as Ronnie was was totally credible and appealing. There was great chemistry among all the actors in their respective roles that led to superb story telling. We loved how everything came together with wit, especially brother Jonah, her tentative relationship with Will (Liam), and the very humanizing relationship with Dad, Greg Kinnear. Awesomel film for the family!

this was an absolutely fabulous movie I can't say I love Miley but I must express this movie had it all joy, laughter and sadness....u go Miley I will definitely purchase this movie when it comes out!!!!

This movie is great, perfect for all ages. Great for the whole family. Miley's talent really shows in this movie, she is a great person. Bobby Colman (Jonah in the movie) is great at his part. Liam plays great, as well as the father. This movie is worth seeing. Be sure to bring tissues. Its such a touching movie!

Took my daughters expecting a typicall Miley Cyrus type kid-show... pleasantly surprized. Miley was very convincing as the teen angst ridden daughter, the chemistry between her and Liam showed thru...the writing followed very true to life situations, I think everyone will a little connect something from their own life in this film. BRING TISSUE. Bobby Coleman was excellent as little brother Jonah
