We loved this movie. Sandra Bullock's character is an inspiration. The movie was poignant but still had incredibly funny moments. The coach was a little silly but maybe that is his true self. We knew Tim McGraw was in the movie but we were so surprised to learn who he was...a total surprise. We need more movies like this.

Very few movies today provide a moving storyline that is based on facts and a positive message. Sandra Bullock's best acting in years, she is totally believeable and provides the movie with a performance that makes you believe and feel the social message, When a movie makes you want to go do something, it has succeeded!

I'm a big Sandra Bullock fan so I like pretty much anything she's in, but I think she did an exceptionally good job in this film and showed some growth as an actess. It is a tear-jerker but masterful. Some of the characters (coach, her friends) are portrayed in a cartoonish manner but it's all good. I would say that Tim McGraw was likeable although not a good actor.

The movie was just as expected, because it followed the truth of the story. As a school teacher, I found this story compelling because it shows the full time wholesome unselfishness determination by both the family and the student to succeed: a situation that rarely occurs these days in families where parents don't help their own children succeed. The majority of the college years were spent with the college coaches, who acted as themselves, during recruitment time. The movie appeared to end abrupty with his acceptance into the Ravens organization. However, it would be a great movie for students to see that anyone can succeed if they try hard enough.

I am not a big Sandra Bullock fan, and was not certain I could buy her as a housewife, let alone a mother of a black football player. She knocked this one out of the park. There were moments where I felt it could have been edited down and 20 minutes could have been cut from the film, but over all, the sentiment, acting and story line were strong. I judge a film by if I would purchase it when it's released. This is a "I will buy it!".

Definitely enjoyed this movie and would see it again (may take my father over the holidays). It is faithful to both the book of the same title and the true story - not too Hollywood. Perhaps a little deeper than much of the fare out there now, but worth the price of admission and then some.

During my time off work I decided to take advantage of the local cinema selections and choose so far to see 3 movies. Certainly more to follow, but this film was the best out of all three. I'm comparing it to my experiences with "Brothers" and "New Moon." New Moon has the hype and Brothers has the well known stars, but Blind Side has a very good story to it. What can I say when I'm a sucker for the underdog films like "Greatest Game Ever Played." This is not a film for the young kiddies as it is respectfully PG-13. If you have problems choosing what to see, let me help by offering this as a first choice.

If you've seen the previews you know the basic storyline - but that really doesn't matter. This movie will still tug at your heart, make you laugh, cry and inspire you. You really must see this movie whether at the theater or when it comes out on DVD.

The Blind Side was a great portrayal of Michael Oher and his life leading up his acceptance to Ole Miss and the NFL Draft. The actors and actresses involved captured the characters personalities and made the movie a quite enjoyable experience to watch.
