Movie should have been rated PG-13. It was too scary for kids 9 and under. Wouldn't pay to see it again either. Many scenes were exaggerated.

My whole family loved it, but probably because we're all over the age of six. Parents were taking their children out of the theatre. The ones that stayed were crying and saying things like "Mommy, I'm scared". It was pretty dark for Disney, but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing. It's good to see a different side of Disney, especially considering it stayed so true to the book. It was fun to see the ways that the ghosts embodied Jim Carrey. I loved it and wish I could go see it again <3

Just one thing that I have a hard time with. The digital imaging when they were "flying" over the roof tops, etc. It makes me sick to my stomach. This also happens while watching someone play video games. My eyes just have a hard time wtih it.

I enjoyed this movie immensely, and so did my two 13 year olds. It was well done, excellent sound and music. Wonderful voices and excellent with it's detailed and panoramic views. But, as one said "if you go thinking 'Oh, Disney, and Jim Carrey, this should be funny -- you'll be surprised". It has it's funny moments and is certainly entertaining, I recommend it and would see it again. Just a warning that it is not for young children, or those who are susceptible to strong, or frightening images.

I went to see the movie to add to my happy feeling of Christmas. The movie scared me more than providing a feel of Christmas. It is too scary for kids and the elderly.
