I saw this movie without the 3d experience, which was a mistake. There are many scenes that are geared specifically for 3d wow. Without 3d, the action sequences and long and a bit pointless. There are some interesting camera angle shots and the story is, as usual, wonderful. It's a bit scary/shocking in places, so be forewarned if you have a skittish kid.

... at all. With Jim Carrey in it - and the previews they've been showing on tv, I thought it would be funnier than it was. It was completely "classic Dickens". I don't recommend this for young children because many scenes are harsh and above their heads. The spirit from Christmas Future got on my last nerve with the laughing - I almost walked out. D-

This was a wonderful version of a beloved story! A few scenes may be too startling for very young viewers (under 5ish), but my husband and I brought my 7 year old daughter and her friend and they loved it! The 3D experience really adds to the animation as well. Kudos to the filmmakers for not going over-the-top with some of the ghost sequences simply for shock value - they kept it exciting, touching and funny and still viewable for most audiences. The "performances" were stellar and the visuals are just amazing!

It was predictible, sound was TOO LOUD, was not a good Christmas movie. I gave it a luke warm rating but it deserved less.

I brought my 3 year old to this movie last night for a fun mother-daughter movie night...big mistake! She was terrified by certain parts of this movie, especially Jacob Marley's ghost and the ghost of Christmas to be. I know they did state that some scenes may be scary for young kids but i found that to be an understatement. I'm sure many kids had nightmares last night after going to see this "fun, animated, holiday movie." I would not recommend for kids under 10

This is one of the best retellings of this classic story I have ever seen! The acting was wonderful, the special effects were spellbinding, the Silvestri score was very nice. I loved how truly scary it was, even though it wasn't "real." It felt very real, though. I didn't see it in 3D, but may have to go out again and see it in that medium. Some images were just beautiful, as well. Lovely Job Disney! Top notch.

First, be careful... I purchased our tickets online, drove 18 miles to see it... and they didn't show it in 3D. How is that even possible when it's advertised in 3D. The art work was phenomenal, I was impressed with the detail. It deviated a bit from all the scrooge movies I've seen in the past, but overall I enjoyed it immensely. I wonder if when it comes out on DVD, will it come with the glasses to actually see it in 3D?

I couldn't wait to see this movie, so I took the kids on opening day! It didn't dissapoint! I will say, even though it's Disney, it may be scary for younger children. Such a great take on a classic. You should definately put it on your "must see" movie list!

Remarkable animation, the way the middle of the story is portrayed from the book however is really weird. The Ghost of Christmas present is terrible, frightening and should have been rethought before production released. The Ghost of Christmas To Be, well its the Grim Reaper and there isn't much you can say about that guy. The Best part of the movie according to all four kids was the end. The rest, not sure what the producers were thinking. Wouldn't recommend under 11 or 12 years of age. Unfortunate, Disney could have done a lot better.

I did not enjoy this movie at all. My kids feel asleep and we suffered until it was over. The special effects were overpowering to the movie. The were bigger than the story and did not enhance it. I did not know if it was meant to be a Christmas tale or a scary movie. I was bored and if I did not know the story, I would have been lost. My family and I look forward to movies during the Holidays, this was truly a dissappointment. Not good at all.
