In a word, SITC(2) was "glamorous"! I particularly lke the political correctness of it starting with the "ladies" attending (and participating) in a same-sex marriage ceremony. Either very PC or very clever to have cashed in on a definite " sign of the times" moment. Kudos. I also loved the underlining themes showcasing the power of relationships and love in the face of so much adversity, at times. The chemistry among the stellar cast of characters really clicks! It's real, very raw at times and so very revealing because the movie manages to say-out-loud what so many of us fail to say but we think it! Love that. Also, I liked that Carrie's (played by Sarah Jessica Parker) character appeared the most vunerable as a newlywed who grappled with and dared to show how emotionally fragile we all came be from time to time. Great story line. Another personal favorite (aside from Parker) is Kim Cattrall because she never disappoints when it comes to being real, extremely sexually 'raw' and resilient against society's imposed rules & regulations around the issue of sex---particulary women and sex. You go Samantha! Liberate us all! Yeah, everybody was just splendid to watch and the setting ---albeit Morocco and not the famed Abu Dhabi--- simply took my breath away. I should be so fortunate to one day experiece such a dream life like these ladies. BTW, I was cracking up at the end when the hotel suite was no longer "on the house", as it were. What a hoot! This is a MUST-SEE SUMMER MOVIE if ever there were. ...especially if you're going through any kind of friendship or relationship problems.

The music was great; the scenery was even better. Funny, relaxing movie, genuine storylines, from the heart. Recommend this as the best movie Summer 2010 has to offer.

I know it's all fun, but Samantha's role went from funny to totally disgusting. I'm amazed she agreed to play this. From squirting cream into her ** in her office, to disrespecting everyone Samantha came into contact with. It gives the muslims reasons to be disgusted with western women, and that's a very shocking outrageous tragedy. It made a laughing stock out of us women. This film should have just been fun, fun, fun as normal. Instead it was sad and embarrassing. My companions watching it also felt really bad inside. This wasn't women support - it was women humilation.

This movie was pretty bad and WAY TOO LONG! However, I recommend seeing it just so fans of SITC can stay in the loop because there are sure to more to come.
Aside from having to sit for 21/2 hrs what I disliked most was:
The hair and makeup folks made Carrie look god awful. Dark hair and makeup aged her 15 years and the really bad costume design was so disappointing for those of us who loved the original shows way out yet glamorus fashion.
The last hour is dedicated to kind of a keystone cops like antics as the girls run around abu dhabi dressed and behaving inappropriatley. This might have been funny if it were not so over the top. Anyone who knows anything about the UAE knows that these "antics" would have gotten the girls beaten, imprisoned, jailed and possibly killed.
What I liked:
The wedding scene was funny and there were several other laughs through out the movie.
Lets hope they do better next time.

I highly recommend this dose of empowerment to all women. This movie is a great one to view with girlfriends and bond even more. It is the complete package of comedy, drama, fantasy, fashion and honesty. It is genius how the creators were able to package such a fantastical picture with so much truth that we can all relate to in our lives. I went to the movie in a crappy mood and it truly touched my soul and grabbed a laugh out of me.

Went with the same girlfriend I saw the first one with...we both thought it was better then the first...more like the show...loved the clothes!
thought all the women looked great...and the one man was so handsome ! Go it isn't high art but if you liked the show this is a fun movie date with your girlfriends :)

I was so excited to go see SATC2 after the first one was amazing. However, the movie was too long, it had no solid plot, the middle east part of the movie was overdone, and omg the cast looked terribly old. We had hardly any New York moments. Hardky any of the women actually interact with their significant other and maybe it was just me but Carrie seemed a little on the nagging and bi*chy side in this movie. Save your money and rent it if you want to see it!

It far exceeded our expectations ( we expected it to be good, not great, which it was!). We loved the fact that it was not made up of cliches and stereotypes. Instead, it was a funny, heart warming and thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. Don't miss it!

I really loved this movie as I enjoyed the tv series. It was colorful and I loved seeing the culture of Dubai. It was fast moving and fun. The only thing I didn't like were two parts that were pretty sexually explicit with Samantha that I wish were a little more toned down. I still like to use my imagination and it was too raw. All in all I enjoyed it and would say go see it. I hope another one comes out.

This was a great adaptation of the characters. It was classic Sex in the City type of interactions. In some spots a bit predictable but definitely a great movie to get the girls together and go see! Have fun!
