I have to say, this movie was worth the wait! Loved the clothes and the scenery. Sure the girls have aged but that is what makes it more realistic. I cant believe I heard on the radio the other day that the producers were so disappointed in the movie that they would not make any more sequels! People age. That’s inevitable. When it comes to SATC-2, the age-onset dementia seems to set in faster than the wrinkles on the leading ladies’ faces, which were also in ample supply. Maybe that has to do with alcohol consumption on screen. Seriously the amount consumed during SACT-1 could have sent me to rehab… Don’t get me wrong I’m still a fan of the HBO series, but its feisty four heroines can’t seem to age gracefully. They are in complete denial, to the point that one starts to laugh at them rather than with them. The movie is pointless and degrading. I hardly expected it to be PC, but this time the crudeness was over the top. There was no culture in the desperate attempts to play up cross-cultural clashes. The escapist dream a la Arabian Nights went so awry, that even the creators’ desire to serve up stunning visuals could not relief the sense of embarrassment for the Ugly Americans that overwhelmed the set with their baggage, both literal and emotional. My firm belief is that they should have stayed locked up in the series as those 80’s clothes in the opening scenes that were oh so fabulous, but didn’t stand the test of time.

This was our after work outing. We went with our friend that really wanted to see this film. I wasn't in to it, but I really did enjoy the film. It is always fun seeing the clothes. The story is silly, but it is interesting to see similiar issues to my life then see a happy ending. I would go again.

Just before the movie began, one of the girls with us said she heard the sequal wasn't as good as the 1st movie. I was so happy that not only was the sequal good, I enjoyed it as much as the first...and I loved the first one. I would recommend this for a fun girls night out.

I was going to see the movie no matter what the critics said. I really enjoy those 4 girls. Well the critics were DEAD WRONG! Because of all the bad reviews i didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised. The "bling" was a bit over the top however what did you expect from this fabulous foursome?

While I enjoyed visiting with the Ladies after missing them for two years, The story did not draw me in like the series and the first movie did. I went in knowing that the sequel would not be as good as the first (as in most cases) so I wasn't let down too much. There were many laughs, but no tears. Overall, not great... but not bad... and worth it just to catch up with the girls!

I am a big SATC fan. Movie was soo funny that my sister had to hit me and tell me that I was embarrassing her. I laughed sooo hard I nearly peed on myself. Pathetic I know. Though this be true, the substance of the plot wasn't all that great. Nonetheless, I would still give it 5 Stars because I had a good laugh(s). As someone who has the entire SATC series on DVD (& rewatches it often) as well as the first movie, I have to say I was a bit disappointed in this installment. I have always found myself in each of the characters in some way, and that's why I loved the series. This movie, to me, was comparable to some of the episodes in the series that furthered the story, but you don't really have to pay attention to get to the next point. I don't know, but maybe I expected too much from this series that I absolutely love.

The movie was pretty good - pretty entertaining for those of us that know and love the characters. I agree that the wardrobe was quite strange at times and I didn't like most of what Carrie wore. The others' outfits were much better.
The weirdest thing about this movie, which I saw at Stonebriar AMC 14, was that we could see the boom microphone above the actors and actresses heads during at least 1/2 of the movie. At times you could see the whole rig. It was very distracting and made the movie feel cheaply made. I have to wonder if this theater had the wrong format or something. That was the biggest disappointment.
Other than that, it was a fun night out with the girls. There were actually a few thought-provoking ideas about marriage that I enjoyed and made me want to share with my husband, so I didn't feel it was totally void of substance.
Worth seeing.

We all love the SATC dynasty, but this movie totally missed he mark. Women who claim they liked it, are lying to themselves. It was awkward, embarassing, boring, and insulting. Seriously, the writing was horrible. Many scenes were very cliche. It had none of the SATC charm or edge. The movie rehashed too much from previous storylines and 'jumped the shark' with Samantha's Muslim insults. Even the clothes were bad- Carrie's especially.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

myself and 8 of my girl friends went to dinner then watch Sex and the City 2. All of my friends were followers of SATC but I wasn't. I had no problem following the show and we had a wonderful time. Its a perfect girls night out movie!!
